The process should be the same but I think your engine bay will have a slightly different layout. If you follow the outlet hose from your intercooler though you can find the inlet manifold/EGR that it will connect to.
I cleaned my egr after only 53000kms, was pretty clogged! I also want to clean my intake manifold. Being that mine colorado is a dpf model, with the intake cleaner affected the dpf?
This is the 3rd time I have done the clean. It's at 135k km now. The first time was around 70k km and it was pretty clogged that time. If you keep on top of it, say every 30k km, it keeps it pretty clear.
I have installed a catch can...after the second clean. It has really reduced the claggy buildup and now there is only a slight powdery soot. Easy to install and reasonably affordable so I would recommend it.
I guess you don't necessarily need to change your oil either. Just good practice to stop the soot build-up getting into your engine. Keeps it running clean.
Was the build up less after the blanking plate noticeable?
Hi great video jst a question i have a 2011 holden colorado would it be the same ? cheers

@@handymatt9377 great thanks will check.
@@handymatt9377 To clean the EGR- carb cleaner any good?
@@victoroneill4381 that will do fine if you have removed it from the car.
Nice bro

Actually not sure mate as I have the pre-DPF model
I can’t move my egr valve much at all. How long did it take you to take it out? Really sweating and struggling.
Definately tight the first time I removed it. Just wiggle a bit up/down, side to side to loosen it as you try to pull out.
How hard was the valve to lift out? I cant get mine too move bugger all
Neither can i
How many kms did it have? Thanks for a helpful video.

Hi do you have a catch can installed? Interested to see before and after catch can cleaning.

Is it essential cleaning the egr?
