Glad it helped! Yeah, some designs are just stupid. Don't forget to like and subscribe if you haven't already so others can find my videos. It'll really help me out. Thanks!
Nice vid. Totally agree, this Model looks a gem - I've just done a RAM upgrade on a Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 3 Desktop PC (50UM7500PLA) and it's not for the feint hearted or inexperienced repairer. Separating the back cover was very very tricky and sooo easy to flex the display and either crack it or break a few pixels.
Glad it helped! A lot of companies lock it in the bios. Only way to know for sure is to give it a shot. If you haven't already, please like and subscribe so others can find my videos. Thanks!
Thanks. You can also remove the optical drive and replace it with something like an SSD caddy. I'm planning to do this, but do you know what thickness fits? Would a 9.5 mm caddy fit?
Have this computer and plenty of hard drive space but now very slow - if I upgrade Ram from 4 to8 will performance improve greatly? Only use computer for word, quicken and internet searching. Any more complicated than Un clipping the existing Ram chip and inserting the new one? I'm obviously a novice - THANKS
Thanks for your help, I appreciate that information and your video, yes 2 spots and I fit 8gb on each to have this computer for a few months to make my studies and after that buy a new one!
Hello, I just bought one of these off facebook and am looking to upgrade. Can you tell me what I'll need to do so? like what hard drive to buy and ram? Thank you. I googled it and it's confusing for me.
Thanks for the video! I feel so silly. I'm used to having to undo the entire back panel of AIOs to get to this stuff. Kudos to Lenovo for this design

You'll have to measure it. I'm not sure.
I need to upgrade my memory in my C460 from 4GB to 8GB. What type works?
DDR3 12800 will work.
SODIMM DDR3L 1600Mhz CL11 - Support 2 sticks of 8Gb (16Gb total).
Can you upgrade to 16 GB ? do i have to do two 8 gb or one 16 GB ( RAM )
@@mrbirenshah yes. It's better to have matching sticks Better to have 2 even if not matching.
Can i use 16 g with the same hard drive
RAM? Sure

This is what you want to do ruclips.net/video/4p5jFDzVwUw/видео.html
It's Binh Repaired so RAM upgrade is not good enough to improve performance?- don't want to replace the whole hard drive as DONT need HD space -
Hi.. Can I add 8GB memory into vacant slot and keep 4GB as it is, which is existing? Is it ok to use memory of two different manufactures?
Same speed is the most important, same size works faster, same manufacturer isn't so important.
@@ItsBinhRepaired thanks buddy.. Also is RAM upgrade enough to improve performance or HDD also needs to be replaced with SSD..?
@@MrAmonga I'd skip the ram and go straight for SSD upgrade
@@MrAmonga this video will help. ruclips.net/video/4p5jFDzVwUw/видео.html
@@ItsBinhRepaired thanks for the guidance and quick response.. really helps..
Hello Thanks for the video, I have a question! Can I add 2 8gb RAM memory on this same model of computer? I'm thinking to add 1TB SSD?
I mean if the computer have 2 adapter for it
The video should show that. 1tb ssd is fine any size as long as it fits in the computer will work.
@@edgaralvarez4143 2 slots, but you should open yours to check.
@@edgaralvarez4143 make sure you watch the video multiple times to make sure you know how to take it apart.

question: what is it called for both so I can replace mine? I know (hard drive and ram) but what do I Google in order to buy. thanks!
What are you trying to upgrade to? Higher capacity? Speed?
hey !
does it work for c470?
and if yes can you recomm which ram,ssd should i buy for my c470
Try it
did you manage to get it working in the c 470 ?
It doesnt seem to pick up in the Bios, I tried kingston and WD brand
Should work. Did you clone the drive to the SSD?
Trying to get reviews on c460 but hard to find.
I only disassemble computers
Is the motherboard compatible with a Ryzen 3 3200g Processor
Usually as long as it's the same socket/generation you can, but sometimes they don't allow it in the bios.
Hey can i put 2 drives in my c460, Like i wanna keep my HDD but also wanna add a ssd in it
If this has a cd drive you can replace it with a 2.5" sata drive adapter.
@@ItsBinhRepaired yea it has a cd drive, but what if I get a sata splitter will it work the same?
@@ahanaf5769 not sure how you'll fit it in the computer. You also need a data connection

Or, i just realized I could take mine apart and look. lol
Yeah lol
What is the maximum RAM this computer will take
Looks like 16gb, but I don't have the machine to confirm. If you already have 8gb, an SSD would be a much better performance upgrade.
@@ItsBinhRepaired will the performance improve if it has both a 16gb RAM and an SSD upgrade?
@@pandora8374 yes, mostly from the SSD
Also can it take ddr4
No, it's DDR3 I believe. You can't use different type.
how many ram slots are in this pc?
Are you asking me to watch my own video you tell you? Lol Did you watch it?
2 SODIMM Slots. Support max 8Gb per slot (16gb total).
How much ram can I go from 4.
The only limit is what you can afford.
Can I put a graphics card in it
No
