Hi there. I was hoping to hear the "why" in your discourse. You have mentioned a lot of "watch fors" and no substantive explanation. Looking forward to more info.
Microcrystalline Cellulose is technically a fiber that passes through your digestive tract undigested which can pose as a problem for those with sensitive GI tracts.
Thank you Dr. for the knowledge. I want to know if all these fillers you mention plus magnesium sterate can aggregate my ileocecal valve that doesn’t open up easy? Thank you for excellent videos you have in RUclips, they are very valuable to me. Thank you for your time
Hi! You mentioned sunflower oil as something to be cautious of. The omega-3 supplement I just got has sunflower oil in the ingredients and natural flovours, is that bad? Thanks!
Thank you Doctor. These fillers are in supplements all over. Whole foods even has supplements with these fillers. Do you know where I can purchase Acetyl L carnitine without all of these fillers and binders? Just as well other supplements without all of these fillers. I do eat a healthy whole food diet and try not to take too many supplements. The problem is that a lot of the soil used to grow the some of the vegetables is not the best , which leaves the vegetables with less nutrients.
Are you aware that additive manufacturers are NOW skirting the Regs since 45 slashed hundreds in '20? They use far cheaper, more toxic extraction chemicals, and don't bother to rinse them out efficiently! Thanks for educating us. God Bless!
There is a filler in the Vitatree supplements - Hypromellose (synthetic). Anyway, I have not been able to find any brand supplements without any fillers.
I looked to buy the magnesium you promote and from what I read it has the cellulose filler. I thought it was an ingredient not to buy? Are you aware that you have a link to vitamin company using these same ingredients you are warning us about.
Thank you. For the information. I had to through away so many supplements! I am glad that I know. I have a supplement that only had 4 grams of Microcrystalline cellulose is that ok these were expensive and I bought a lot it’s a calcium supplement? from Algae-call .

Why wouldn't the industry use baking soda or something that isn't so bad for you? It's bad enough the manufacturers try to fool you with a larger capsule.
Thank you Dr J9 for addressing this topic . Microcrystalline cellulose is very dangerous ingredient that needs to be researched more. I had anaphylaxis and gut Inflammation I almost died after consuming supplements that has it.
@adelemapeka4104 where did you get the evidence that Microcrystalline cellulose is dangerous Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is a term for refined wood pulp and is used as a texturizer, an anti-caking agent, a fat substitute, an emulsifier, an extender, and a bulking agent in food production. its natural product moron stop fearmongering
Hello Dr. Ive been taking mushroom supplements and noticed they have microcrystalline Cellulose. Is there anything mushroom supps you recommend? Thank you
Thank you so much for this beneficial information. I just picked up a B complex from my local GMC and wanted to research some of the ingredients that was on the label. That's when I came across your video and wow completely taken by surprise regarding what exactly is in the ingredients. The ingredients that I had a question about was the microcrystalline cellulose, hydrogenated, vegetable oil and silicone dioxide. Question is the hydrogenated vegetable oil really vegetable? And what exactly is silicone dioxide?
Hi Doctor Janine, love your videos. I’m currently on the fence about x2 msm powder supplements by mrm nutrition & doctors best. Both say they are 100% pure msm with no “sneaky extras” but then their capsule options have all the glow agents you’ve listed. Can I trust their powder to be of high quality. Both are not fda approved either but these are my options available to me atm. What would you suggest?
Could you let me know about any of these! Microcrystalline Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, MagnesiuJm Stearate, Silica. Glazing Agents: Hypromellose, Glycerin, Hydroxypropylcellulose, Copper Chlorophyllin E141 (Colour)! Are any harmful or bad ?
@teamdrj9 Check out @Vitatree Vitamin D3 Chewables available at us.vitatree.com. It is a Lemon flavoured chewable soft gel which is Kid-friendly, helps support the immune system and helps with healthy bones/teeth. It is also free from fillers or flow agents like magnesium stearate. Hope this helps, Team Dr. Janine. 😊
Question . First Thank you, very informative. I recently purchased a supplement called Broc Elite Plus. Under other ingredients it lists "Vegan Caps (cellulose derivative)". is this safe?
Dr J, U haven't told us what is the alternative. All the leading brands have some fillers or the other. How to find out a brand without any fillers or binders? Ur information is incomplete without give us the solution for this problem.
I have great concerns over microcrystalline cellulose. No Information is found anywhere in the Internet. Not even an animal study. Nothing. While they feed it to everyone. A critical video I was proposed by RUclips has vanished completely. Some say it causes obesity, colon inflammation and cancer. The reason shall be, the passage through the colon/stomach into the blood. This happens cause the particles are so small. A good reasoning, as I think. If you find any study on impact to animals/humans, answer to this comment please.
