    Sudan and Johnson grass are both very toxic under this type of Weather. Glad to see them Couple Roan Cows are still hanging in with You!

    Interesting. I don't have cows and hadn't heard of the grass becoming toxic to them. That's crazy!

    My Wife works with local Honey bees and if you will find someone local to your area that has bee pollen capsules they will help you build up immunity too your local area. Trust me several people buy the pollen from my wife and they all said it helped them. Hope this helps and if you want you can order them from my wife but not sure if they would have all the same things in your area. I Live in Eastern North Carolina.

      Prussic acid. Can happen during extreme drought and after a frost on certain grass species like Johnson grass, Sudan and a few others

      It can be a pain, but it sure can produce plentiful forage in a quick manner

    Surely there must be a better way to test your grass.

      Sure you can send samples off to a lab but it would take too long to get results. Most of the guys in my area use this method for grazing drought stressed Johnson grass.
