Great video! I think in a lot of situations, if you use things like a roll brush to add on seams / seam-creasing etc. you can use that height data to add the off colors / washed colors via compare masks. Really helps getting a good base for washed protruding creases or the oversaturation of tight bunched up creases after the "dying process".
Thank you for your artruism! Taking your time to teach us, I'm really glad! I would enjoy you going on full process with fabrics. Especially things like puckering or stiches. Cheers!
You rock, Thanks for the great tutorials. You are my first inspiration and guide for when i have to start a texturing project. you don't kow this, but you have taught me a lot :)

I love your channel! Your channel is the most useful texturing information I've ever seen. I'm a compositor but I end up needing to texture things often so I'm really glad I can finally have some guidance
Hello and nice work. Would a tutorial on showing how you approach the same prop in both SP and Mari interest you? Mostly to compare speed vs result factor. Thanks for the videos!
Results wise if it's from the same artist it should be the same. I use substance support when it comes to Mari texturing too, so speed wise should be the same as well.
really nice and informative tutorial video but can you explain the jeans modelling and uv unwrapped and also substance painter real time tutorial that would be really helpful see ya ciao💐😊
Awesome jeans! I don't know why but I really love painting denim like this, so satisfying. One thing that I never really understood with fabric though is when you're using projections instead of tileables and handpainting, how do you keep the fabric pattern (like the weave) all lined up? Does it end up getting kindof smeared, or blurry in the areas where you've projected? Or do you not even really noticing it? Thanks again for posting another awesome vid!
You usually avoid painting the sides to avoid creating blurry or smeared areas. You need to rotate the camera and continue painting and just paint the areas right in front of the camera and try to merge your paint well with the already painted areas. You can eliminate blurry areas like this but you need to blend well.
Amazing video ! I have a quetion that off topic a bit if u dont mind ? ( so it happens that i have a short to make and i am confused to either add pockets or not or bake them later or model them iam that confused sorry ) thnaks in advance!
they are actual geometry. I wouldn't say that is a great way to approach torn fibers, hence it's not textured. Maybe use hair for it. They are all uved in a different UDIM.
I searched youtube for good clothing texture tutorials literally 10 minutes ago and here you are. Amazing!

Using projection, probably just gonna try to project a photo as well as I can, the photo should have all the Jean details already.
