I have had dolls come with some pretty greasy hair. I have learned to baby powder the hair BEFORE I start washing it. I let the powder sit for several hours, to days. Dry hair, the opposite, Oil if real bad. With her's having both, I would gently brush and brush and see. BUT! Look who I am talking to, You know all this. Ha Ha
I think EBL are an acquired taste 😂 Personally I love them and think Cinnamon Girl is fab. I love her lip color and her faceup is perfect for a cinnamon color. Her stock is pretty awesome although currently V-Smash is wearing her dress and headband. I’m so happy you were able to find her. I do find it incredibly sad that people customize stock dolls…. Seriously, what’s the point if they are unrecognizable? 😞
@@DollsRescued I'm going to give it a go, but her hair is pretty bad. I may even change out her scalp. I have a dark alpaca scalp that would probably look good on her, and changing scalps doesn't really affect the doll like carving or doing something you can't alter. I did that with Star Dancer, another older release with horrible hair, and I have kept her scalp in case I ever wanted to sell her (which I never expect to do).
Omg I love cinnamon girl. I have to say, I adore ebl lashes and eye chips, they make her look so vintage and strange, which is absolutely my vibe lol. Especially love the orange with that orange face up, so odd and cool.

I think she is fabulous. The older dolls look so plain standing next to newer releases. Somehow I find it appealing. My Bohemian Beats Again is also a 2003 release with EBL sculpt. She could definitely be a sister to Cinnamon Girl. They are quite similar in some aspects. 😊
Congratulations on your newest tan doll. A shame she has some problems that is always disappointing. I can’t understand the customising of stock dolls either. Boxed dolls in the uk are crazy prices. If only I’d known a few years ago!
I like the doll, of course my main reason is she's an original stock doll from the 'past' . The jacket is cute, the color seems not quite what one would put with brown. The little undies look like bloomers and I guess the straps? on the little top just couldn't take the intensity of the box for all those years! She's cute though and I may try to buy an original soon to keep my Peachy (Mademoiselle) company. She likes the 3 fakies but longs for one of her own kind...

Btw, the reason they look nothing like the little card they come with, is because the doll in the card is an original kenner Blythe from the 70s and Takara Tomy got inspiration from the original 70s Kenner dolls, so in other words, the dolls are like another version or a remake of the 70s Kenner Blythe dolls that are in the little cards.

She's very cute but I gotta say with those super thin lashes it's almost enough to make me think some Blythes DO need eyebrows. xD Glad you changed her eyes to a different pair, I'm not big on the orange eyes either though I have a bit of a soft spot for pink thanks to seeing them so much on my first girl. Love all of her stock and I'm really loving the flower child vibe her box gives off. Would love her make up if her blush had just a bit more effort put into it's application.
