- Hey everyone, Christ has risen! Today I show you the crucifixion of Jesus Christ from the short animation "The Last Day". I am Catholic, and I really enjoy listening to a mix some Bible quotes and good music during a workout, so I thought I'd make one. I recommend watching the full animation and also the movie "The Passion of The Christ"

Just an innocent question: If Jesus was the son of God, why did God not protect his son or even protect himself?

Great question, Christ's death was a terrible thing and his suffering was as terrible as it was so He could pay the price for every sin that had been committed and every sin that would be committed. It's a show of the greatest act of mercy and love that God would send his only son to be crucified and suffer horribly for us. By Jesus' life on earth He sets us an example of obedience, humility, constancy, justice, and the other virtues displayed in the Passion, which are needed for human salvation. I want to add as well that this paved the way for the resurrection which proved that he is indeed Christ as well it showed that death did not have to be eternal and that He wasn't done yet/dead.
