I completely agree! I'm getting more and more addicted to judo day by day. A beautifully timed sweep is like the feeling of when you hit the right spot on a bat the ball soars over the fence.
Actually I think the order is Jiujitsu->Judo->BJJ, if we’re talking Jigoro Kano judo, but understandable that jiujitsu naming was not as clear back then. Awesome vid though guys
Judo is such a brutal and intense sport Besides doing some mobility drills/exercises one wouldn’t need so much strength training Because over time you will get so much stronger doing judo The partner strength exercises alone are really tough like picking someone up having on your shoulders and doing squats
Wow! Awesome video! New to Judo as well .. any tips on how to recover faster? Currently aiming for 2 days a week Judo training and can we hit weights on other days?
U do this (most MA) on a regular basis, u will stay fit& it might also protect u one day.( along with the Street fighting,no rules dirty stuff mixed in!)
Japanese JJ is way older than Judo or BJJ. Japanese JJ is what the samurai developed if they were on the battlefield and they'd lost their weapon and horse. Judo came next, about 150 years ago, and then BJJ.
3:45 fuck no judo comes from Japanese jujutsu, BJJFanatics comes from judo. Mitsuyo Magda (teacher of Carlos Gracie) was a student of Tomita Tsunijro, one of the four guardians of Kodiak JUDO. It’s likely the Gracie’s and other Brazilians were taught judo under the name Kano Jujutsu since Jigoro Kano created judo and called it both names until the early 1900s
Judo is great standing, as is Olympic wrestling.... on the ground though... neither can compete with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. So really.... both are needed, even for grappling
Judo really needs to be taken seriously by the jits community! We don’t want to admit it but jits stand up is none existent and actually fairly embarrassing! Judo is something all jits practitioners should do and learn

So true
It makes me so happy to see Judo getting the love it deserves. Thank you ❤
Judo was a great foundation for me as a kid and I’m so glad my children are training
Judo is class 🤌
Bro anyone that trains BJJ knows that stand up is a game changer. Wrestling and Judo is on another level
Great video! Judo is next level
They may not look like much here but Bobbys warm ups are brutal man 😂😂
I do judo. Yeah that looks brutal. But then, I've found (so far) that most judo warm ups are pretty brutal.
Great vid, more of this please

Great vid, judo for the win🥋

Thanks bro 🤝

Enjoyed this video man, do you think you will stick with judo and what do you feel are the main differences between BJJ and Judo?
I am more BJJ but I need to improve my stand up so I’ll be doing more for sure

🤝
Kodokan
Olima was lurking 👀 in the shadows 😅😅
Judo is really strong in UK... BJJ is a much more recent addition.
Fondly referred to by Guy Ritchie as "Bobby the Tits"
I can’t believe this guy didn’t take his purple belt 😂😂 sausage
I think BJJ is more about on the floor and Judo on ur feet?
Judo is great standing, as is Olympic wrestling.... on the ground though... neither can compete with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. So really.... both are needed, even for grappling
Bro really had to take mans undies
Judos awesome...but the history is it's the sport version of Japanese JJ. 👍🏼

Jiu Jitsu -> Judo & Sumo -> BJJ

Or strive to be a high level wrestling
@@bobkk-ev5ls to be honest mate I think as a bjj practitioner you should aim to learn both wrestling and judo! Both are brilliant
No way Judo is better than Jiu Jitsu 🤔
Lol
It’s jiujitsu for men
Two different rulesets/games of the same art. Judo you bury your opponent quickly, BJJ you slowly crush them. Both are valuable in their own right.
👀
When I say better I mean tougher. Jiu jitsu requires more strength on the floor used over a longer period, which is harder.
