- Go for a ride on the classic haunted house from trimper's rides, located on the boardwalk in ocean city maryland. This dark ride at trimpers was built in 1964 by bill tracy.

They changed some parts of it since I went last time!! My family always HAD to go on this ride any time we visited OC and when I was a kid it used to freak me out but as an adult it’s honestly a really fond memory.
Currently watching this to prepare myself because I know my dad is going to try to get me to go on this ride and I’m a massive coward

Me right now, lmao. Leaving tomorrow for a trip to a couple beaches/boardwalks and this is part of it. My Mom and brother have done it multiple times and always say it's great, but I always chicken out. This year, she said I have to do it. 💀
What's funny is I'm the biggest horror fan you'll ever meet, like fr I love horror movies, books, games, even vr games, but I gotta be in a very specific mood to be willing to do things like this, otherwise I'mma have my head down the whole time lmao

Classic dark ride! Always loved the "Last Drop" diorama with the bloody hands coming out of the toilet, one of the original Bill Tracy dioramas from 1964. Thanks for the ride and the memories my friend, good stuff indeed. 👍 👍
The best old school dark ride ever!
i remeber riding this ride as a little kid (i was about 5, I'm 17 now) and coming out crying, poor worker felt so bad for me he gave me a jolly rogers card with 400 points on it and said "enjoy yourself, sorry you got scared" I'll never forget it
My favorite haunted house of alllll time.
Rode in 2006 when I was 6, I'll never forget the buzzing at the entrance and how hard my butt hits the hard wooden seat around some turns. That hurt lol
I use to cry my eyes out on this ride when I use to go..I think my 1st time I was under 5
I remember riding this when I was younger and I am now 35, I was maybe 12 when I went on this ride

i still need to go on this ride. with my boyfriend. we’re both huge scaredy cats though so we’ll be conquering each other’s fears this summer haha! (he actually works at trimpers lol and i’m a local during the summer)

This is the only ride the Granville family still own and operate. The rest of the park has been taken over by the original Daniel Trimper family that started the park in 1890. They have done so much to improve this ride in the past 3 years. I worked for the amusement park for 30 years.
Possibly the best of classic Dark Ride but check out Rye Playland it had a lot of comp for this Spooky House too!!
Thanks for posting this! Went to OC so many times as a kid (on & off season, had family there) and we loved this ride. Seeing the coffin car pull up and the doors and everything just really gave me a wave of nostalgia. It has changed but wow I'd love to go back. I remember when there was no one in line the ride operator would just let us go through it again. So much fun. They had a haunted house at Rehoboth Beach too but it wasn't as good. Too bad I'm in FL now, don't know when I'll get to go back again. For now I can watch this video.

i went on this thing with my dad when i was 6 or 7 and it scared the ever living shit out of me .....i went to ocean city this past summer and ...yup still scared lmfao

There were actually multiple, but its random when they appear. Went on it twice with my cousins and Michael Myers appeared in different places each time

No hate at all...this is a childhood favorite. But the past 20 years I know both places to prepare to brace hand to wall to prevent cart from completely tipping over. How have there been so little injuries with all the tourist?

Your lucky you didn't get jumpscared by a REAL person in there. When I went through, There was a guy with a KNIFE and TAPPED IT on my cart!

I CRIED ON THISS THERE WERE SO MANY LIVE ACTORS AND THEY KEPT FOLLOWING AND CHASING MY CART AND TRYING TO JUMP UP ON ME
and the light too when it takes u on the balcony part i really thought it was the end but turns out we had a whole section to still complete.. did not help me calm down one bit

I first went on this ride around 1967, when it was only 1 level. I always loved it, but now they've crammed too many props in there. Less is more.
They have Bolt and electric chair revenge from distortions! Ok!
