Always loved OC. I grew up in Bethesda but moved to Illinois in 1973. We used to go to OC almost every summer. I was last there in 1998 and it looks like a lot has changed. The summer night crowds were always insane. I don't know if I could handle them any more at 77.
My family and I used to spend the summer there in a little apartment on 12th st behind the Safari Motel. I used to walk down the boardwalk to 9th and that was where all the hippies hung out. This was in the early 70's. Used to see Boardwalk Elvis all the time walking along with his ghetto blaster on his shoulder.
You must not have seen many boardwalks, LOL. But a lot of people love it. I don't think it's horrible either. I call it an ok boardwalk. But enjoy of course!
@@shav972 . Lol I hear you there! I will say the Atlantic City boardwalk was a little better than I expected, but doesn't need it was great. The boardwalk in Wildwood rules in my opinion. Much more content and rides than OC MD. But I do want to see the boardwalk in OC again, been a few years.
Make sure you show the big grease spot by Thrasher's French Fries. Great place to people watch. Once saw a bride and groom coming out of Marty's Playland.
@@jandjh9613 I’m not sure what it was called, maybe Twister? But it had like a loop and then a part that shot up and it would go backwards then shoot through the loop and then back up a few times
Currently in Myrtle Beach & we can’t stop commenting on how much we love our OCMD😂. I’m From OCMD & live in PA but go back every spring. Visiting MB has some nice warm water, nice beach but the boardwalk in Myrtle is a joke! The prices are ridiculous, everything is all over place which could be good for some but its kinda a boring area with panhandlers (someone came up to our car in the Walmart parking lot) creepy! Yes there’s some “homeless” in OCMD but we’ve never had issues. Haha. Thanks for video I was just stopping in to remind myself how amazing OCMD is;). We enjoy riding bikes in OC on boardwalk & else where & we always find things to do.
I live in the Bury, I love the beach but OC has totally worn off on me. It was fun as a teenager and young adult. Now that I’ve outgrown the crowds and overpriced everything I venture to the mountains as a vacation. I had someone ask me in Shenandoah “You left the beach to come here? I asked why anyone would leave ‘here’ to go to the beach. We agreed to agree.
I’ll never forget when I was like 7 all my older siblings were going in the haunted house so I wanted go in so I when in with my mom she ended holding me and covering my eyes cuz I was too scared
While it isn't my favorite boardwalk overall, that is indeed a good-classic haunted house. It's an old Bill Tracy design. Hope it stays around forever!
That haunted house brings back so many memories. My grandfather used to take me on it every summer. R.I.P. Jack. We love and miss you

Part of it looks like segments of, "Gang Land”
Must be from the cinematic angles taken on this walk 🤣
The haunted house looks scary....
It is! Especially at night!!! Thanks for the visit!🙏🏼😀
I've been on it it's kinda scary but not for me!
