      He actually wanted to be a real hero, both in the comic books and in the show he got pushed beyond his breaking point making him mad, in the comic books it was black noir who committed most of the atrocities homelander is accused of and Homelander even starts disassociating his personality, he gets gaslighted into believing he is a piece of shit, in the show its explained through the last episode of Diabolical that he wanted to save people but messes up causing tons of death and destroction and learns how to shift blame through Noir, if people treated him with respect on the very beginning he could ve changed a lot, don't get me wrong, guy's a psycho, but he could've been good and I always wonder if all he needs is friends and validation

    Yeah she wanted Ryan to steer clear from Homelander’s reach and yet Ryan welcomed in the end because Butcher couldn’t handle his affection

    • @RealRed01
      @RealRed01 Год назад

      According to one theory, Ryan is starting to develop a soft spot for Homelander, but he only decides to hold his hand in The Boys season 3 to protect Billy Butcher and everyone else. Ryan realizes that Homelander is powerful enough to single-handedly kill all of them, and only he can stop him from doing so.

      I don't think her way of trying raising to him was going to work out tbh. Ryan was a slave much like Homelander just with a prettier cage. The kid really has only had shitty options

    • @kalvin187douglas
      @kalvin187douglas Год назад +2

      @@MrFredstt I don’t see it that way, I wouldn’t call Ryan a “slave” I know his mother was keeping under false pretenses of a normal neighborhood but that because of Homelander’s super abilities and they didn’t want to take any chances. I don’t think Becky was forcing her influence upon Ryan but protecting him from Homelander’s reach. He is unstable and unpredictable. If Homelander died before Ryan was born mysteriously I don’t think Becky would kept Ryan hidden from the world since the only threat was Homelander.

  • @Trax95
    @Trax95 9 месяцев назад

    I love the way the show did Homelander. Crazily enough it shows the truth about how he was raised and how he got through it. Developed a different personality, developed a mix between a superiority and inferiority complex, it shows that despite his fall towards pure insanity, he has actual values. He genuinely wanted his father Soldier Boy to be proud of him. He wants his son to love him, he’s proud of his son. If he had been raised like Ryan was with Butchers wife, I think he genuinely would’ve been an amazing superhero. But growing up a lab rat and being constantly lied to, he’s beyond saving.

    If he would have been giving a normal childhood or at least have been raised with compassion and love he’d probably be one of the most morally respectable hero’s we’ve ever seen. But instead he was a raised like an animal. Picked and proded at day after day definitely flipped a switch.
