I always thought that my dad was abusive but having experience with women made me realize that his emotional outbursts were in response to her abuse. Also, all the things she said about him were just her projection. She said he treated her like a doormat and that he was a narcissist. What kind of narcissist has spent decades on his weekends helping old and needy people fix up their homes and cars?? My mom never lifted a finger to help anyone but herself
All our dads become more humanized as we get older because we take up their roles and responsibilies and everything they did now make sense. I was always on my moms side growing up now that I'm an adult I'm never on her side infact I end up chastisng her like my dad did when I was a kid.
Exactly the experience with my ex. She would pick a fight over nothing, throw a tantrum, escalate the argument, name call, disparage my character, twist my words while I tried to deescalate and be reasonable. This is a 100% true I've been married for 7 years and still to this day, the more attention, care, and love I give my wife the less reciprocation I receive( I'm not saying I don't receive it but not the same amount). I am married to a foreign woman (although this plague that's in the USA is reaching every country now) and she was raised in a very strict Orthodox Christian home. I went overseas to find a wife having to spend a boatload of cash in trips to find her. I'm in my 50's and even back in the 80's most of the young girls in my church were 304s and played these games. They too were really messed up on the head. They would despise the non-Chad guys even these men had great jobs, good family, had plenty of money and were in love with them. The most valuable lesson that I learned in my 33 years which includes also a beautiful 5 years marriage from which I just got out is that women are always making plans. Everything looks ok but they are actually always making plans to move on which we, men, don't do. They make screenings continously. They won't focus on the good things that recomend you as a man but rather hang on small details which I feel like they allow themselves to get affected by them on purpose to serve them later.
Not all ladies despise men who commit to them. Not all girls just give their bodies away. As a 40 yr disabled widow, I scarified a lot for my husband and family. I almost died delivering my son. Over a week ago, I found out that I was cheated on. I wanted to commit to her, but she barely gave me the time of day. I then confronted her about it and she straight admitted she didn't like me. She then proceeded to post selfies with the guy she had been seeing the entire time. I called her out for it and she immediately started backtracking. I then cut her out of my life, only to find she had been keeping tabs on me, and she's doing this because no one has defied her before.

I'm in my 60s. It is rather depressing to think of how the dating landscape looks these days. I wouldn't say things were completely different in my time, would imagine that there were some of the same things, albeit to a different extent. 1. I scraped myself off the filthy floor. Wiped my tears. Got in the gym. Great diet and supplements for mental health. Focused on money. Attracted a younger hotter tighter woman. Screwed both for a while while she knew. Kept fighting alot so we split again.
2. Covid. She couldn't work anymore so she asked to move back in. The damage was already done. Didn't work.
3. Found an amazing woman with traditional morals and a big heart. Submissive and feminine. Almost felt too good to be true. She showed up inside my bedroom at 2am drunk and begging me to hold her. Used the door key code my sons memorized.
