I actually have this album in cassette tape! One of my absolute favorite songs by George Michael. I had the privilege of seeing him live in concert back in the early 90's. The man's voice is better live than on his recordings. Amazing voice.
Elvas666 Me too😃! The only George Michael music I own is THIS: Five Alive ( Bought this CD when it was released) Never was a fan ... until I heard: "Somebody to Love" w/ Lisa Stansfield. THIS CD IS ABSOLUTELY SOULFUL❤❤❤!
Oh George, oh David, oh Prince, oh Leonard, oh Rick, what kind of great music you all gave us now you are in heaven and come together for a new band. We people on planet earth will miss you all for the great time you gave me.
mr2gti GM was a master when it came to his craft. Easy to believe the original idea, input and final result of this medley came from him. Totally agree. Genius.
Just WOW. What a true gift he was for us. Thank you George for all your unbelievable music and an unprecedented humanity. Will miss you forever. Tears keep running.
His talent was so so flexible. From music written and dedicated to his favourite musician the great João Gilberto to the huge live performances for charities. Huge artist. Farewell
The power of his voice is incredible , and about his talent is evidenced by his musical achievements ! This is the best version of the cover of that song , and the best cover of all i've heard!👍👍👍
YEAH GEORGE IS THE MAN(TO BAD HE'S NOT MY MAN!!!!)HE CAN TAKE ANY I MEAN ANY SONG AND MAKE IT SOUND SOOOOOOOOOOOOO DAMN SEXY,I ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOOOVE HIS OH OH OH OH OH SOOOOOOOOO SEXY, VOICE ,THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER GEORGE MICHAEL EVER,HE IS THE GRESTEST!!!!!!!!
revealed: "For me, aside from These are the Days, the highlight of this CD is the two-song medley Killer/Papa Was a Rolling Stone. These are two more cover songs that George performed at Wembley also in 1992 but with his own band. Killer is another one of these ‘black rights' tracks written by Adamski and Seal in 1990, which by the way is so 90s and passé. ."
@richardthewriter Look, the first LP Wham did was exactly of 1983. It was called "Fantastic". And this song I think it belongs to the third LP, which I used to have, but unfortunatly I don't know what happened with it because it desappeared from my collection, but I still can remember that my brother (RIP), used to listen to this song every morning day, and that was in 1984 or 1985 year (this last one is the more exactly date). But if you want to think that it was released in the mid 90s......
This is idea was really contemporay, the mix of house with soul was a bomb and performe that as a singer is just genius - we mixed onces Adiva "Respect" with Candi staton "When you wake up tomorrow" it was just perfect that quite the same time in 1989 (crossover)
Excelente version por Michael del original grupo soul Temptations a comienzos de los 70s...lastima no acceder al video por su duracion en minutos..pero bueno se escucha de maravilla...I like it so much !!!.Medellin,Col.
love this song: played it at a discotheek in holland and the place was already closed but i and a good friend were playing this song and we saw a nice lady moving at this song (note: the place were we at, overturned the mane discotheek) we had a sort of time for us together)

Please Listen to this Origional One. I gonna look for Another what i can take with me everyone who I now / know find this One Incerdible ,have also that One that You had written at RUclips !!!!!!!!!
I also have this George Michael Queen Five Live charity album. The entire album is fantastic and especially Killer / Papa was a Rolling Stone which is just about 11 minutes long. The man was sensationnel and beyond exceptional when it came to his vocals. He was is and will remain my absolute favorite of all time.
@Esomusica I think your're wrong. Because this song was part of the "LP" or "pasta"(I don't know how to say that) version of the 1984 or 1985 year. That was the date of this song, just as we can listen, appears for the first time as part of one of the first albums George Michael did.
@@weydamillieh1132 I mean, the original video is 11 minutes and is a relic, it's George Michael and some other guy, from circa 1993, it shows the glamorous world of clubbers from the late 80s and early 90s
@@weydamillieh1132 No, the original videoclip when the song was released in circa 1993. It was a very cool video with lots of clubbers in NYC, the fashion at the time.
@richardthewriter I mean, this song was part of a Long Play, with the songs a kind of that used to have. Sorry if I mention the word "album". It was not an album. But you are wrong when you say that this LP we are talking about "only had a small selection of songs". It consisted in a comun LP of that era.
does anyone know where the video to papa wasa rolling stone from the concert tribute to freddie mercury?.. I have had it before my computor crashed and can not find it anywhere...
I know, so annoying😠 apperntly Sony removed the video because they have the rights to it. They are stopping the world from viewing such an amazing musician perform with other amazing musicians. I dont think the video will ever be available to anyone ever again 😧😢

Yes
George always had a knack for improving old favorites 😊
Couldn't agree more 👏
George Michael was amazing. The "Somebody to Love" version was totally insane in Freddie's Tribute.
I am an old GM fan wa a child of the 60's this is magic pure magic
Since WHAM
george michael you are the best - nobody is more perfect than you - he is the best
Number 1 song of my life ever
Perfect. Love they gave homage to the Temptations in the beginning. Didn't lose the integrity of the music.

George was brilliant. He really was.
R.I.P George . Much to young. You were a big talent . We Will miss you !!!
Whoever thought "hmmm, Papa was a Rolling Stone really goes with Adamski's Killer" is in my book a bonafide genius!

This song is what I use to test speakers. If they can handle this and not distort, they're great. It's got everything.
This song makes me miss my 1992 Ford Taurus I had (four 12" subwoofers in the trunk). It could handle anything I threw at it.
what a great singer and a great writer and Michael's can sing any song of any other person or group and they respect and love him singing it
it's one of the best songs ever......
I saw this concert on tv back in the 90's!!! all time fave!
i love this version
Still my all time favourites........thx
Where is music like this now?
Jasmine Mirajkar
Say that again
And say it LOUD
Jasmine Mirajkar So true. Bereft. There won't be anyone else who comes even close to him.
Rest In Peace George... will always love your music..
Un tremendo artista George!

I take this song on CD to test speakers. If you can crank it up, have no distortion and hear all the elements, it's a heck of a speaker!
I got to see him do his cover to cover tour. This was the highlight. So good!!!!
