I loved your comment about tucking in, but also about wanting a nice silhouette for an untucked top. I've always felt very conscious about that, so I appreciate hearing someone else mentioning it too! Beautiful pattern roundup!
So nice to hear recommendations from a like minded person who doesn’t like tucking in because of their tummy. Has inspired me to try the nicks and Balkan tops ❤
I have also made the Haley shirt from Experimental Space twice - I copied your denim blue double gauze with a gold spot - I loved it so much I made another one in white and gold spot double gauze! Thanks Haley xxxLyn
Thank you. I have the same sizing difference (hips usually 4 sizes bigger), so it was great to hear some ideas for tops to wear with jeans with this mind.
I’ve literally just been hunting for aaaggggges to try and remember the name of Experimental Space and the first video I click on after finding it mentions them in the first minute! 😂 (Side note: I found it by looking back at your under 1m video!). Perfect topic for inspiration, too. Thank you 2:55 . Love your videos.
I love the nicks made 2 tops and 3 dresses. I also completely agree with your comment of adding ties to the nell, as a plus size large busted woman I found the nell did just hang but fitted wonderfully around my bust, so need to grade in a little at the waist and add ties to give a bit more of a silhouette
I enjoyed your video. For my body I like more closely fitted tops. So I am going to look more at Hailey Shirt and the Nell Blouse. thank you for providing info on these patterns.
You're very welcome - having just finished sewing a Nell blouse and dress I can tell you it is very loosely fitted. Fits great over the bust but there is a lot of easy in the waist and hips. I absolutely love them (I have a video going up today wearing them) but I have added ties at the waist of the dress to bring it in a bit
Lovely round up Hayley. Thank you🎉. I like the Lavant top from Sussex Seamstress, I've made one in the black and white gingham we had in a classic box, and I'm now planning another one in a pink floral from another classic box.
Can’t help myself 😂 I must make a Nell top with the puffball sleeves first using the August luxury fabric! Then the flutter sleeves. I love buttons, but I think I need to make at least one version trying the ties. I’m getting adventurous in my senior years. Haha. Thanks, Hayley, for the inspiration. 😘

Thank you, it’s got to feel right!!

I'm so happy to hear that, hope you enjoy sewing those patterns
I grew up in the 80’s and we tucked everything in. It took me forever to adopt the untucked look. I am not going back without a fight.
Haha!!! It's like us Millennials with our skinny jeans!
100% agree with you about tucking or part tucking in a blouse. I can’t do it either. Thank you for these lovely recommendations 🥰
You are so welcome!

Oh yay that’s awesome!! I do love it
Thank you so much for this inspiring guide. I am also in the ‘no tuck in’ brigade! Xxx
Thank you, so glad you liked it! Welcome aboard!
Great recommendations, thank you.❤

Nicks is fabulous too😊
I really need to make it
Some lovely ideas Hayley 😊
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for this vlog, some great ideas here . I prefer not to "tuck in" too 😊
Glad it was useful!

Ah no way, it's so funny when that sort of thing happens! It's a lovely pattern, hope you enjoy making it.
Balka top is great!😊

I need to get the Nicks made!! Yes I've just finished my Nell dress and the ties just bring it in a little more! I love it

Very useful video, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Great picks! I don’t wear jeans, I find them too hot. It has to be really cold for me to wear them. I just started making blouses. I have a few.
Ah that's fair enough!!

Ooh lovely I’ll have to take a look!
Nell will be beautiful with ties ❤
It’s definitely lovely, but maybe a bit too fussy for me
Can’t help myself 😂

So happy to hear that!!! Enjoy making all those lovely blouses!
Fully agree about cropped shirts😂 I dont like them at all!!! I love the aesthetic of blouses❤
Definitely!! Just about finding the right ones!
what's the name of the material used in the blue shirt that you are wearing in this video? sorry oot.
It's a double gauze
I hate tucking in! Yes, I don’t want to show my tummy 🎉
Wear what feels comfortable!!
