You can run other variants of k8s on vSphere no issues. VSAN is based on SPBM policies that defines the protection type and its characteristics. For developers consuming vSAN, all they do is need to map StorageClasses against the SPBM, and they can do PVC claims directly to vSAN. It will be assigned dynamically. Tanzus is an entire portfolio of products, vSAN is not neccesarily only tied to Tanzu. The value of vSAN still lies in the simplicity, SPBM and deep integration into the vSphere environment.
Where was the tutorial part? there was no info at all here other than the 'AFTER you have setup vSAN as a storage provider for kubernetes, this is what it'll look like'..
