    I absolutely adore those journals! I always clean out the stash pretty much when you guys come to the Chicago Pen Show. They are such a dream to write in, and the designs are beautiful too..

    I own one, but I'm very disappointed in paper quality. However, I got mine yeaars and years ago - maybe the paper has changed now? How smooth is the paper? My EF nib keeps getting stuck in these small ridges in the paper, which I am NOT thrilled about.

      I had mine for a couple of years and paper quality is superb!

      The Paperblanks range has a huge range of different papers. What you appear to have is a journal with laid paper; the "ridges" are an intentional part of the design. If you want smoother paper, you'll have to find paper that is in a lower gsm range or a journal that is somewhat smaller as it's typically the larger journals that have laid paper. However, judging from your experience, you may have purchased your Paperblanks before they decided to change to paper to make it more fountain pen friendly (the opposite of what Moleskine did)
