The first time I was ever cut from a basketball team. Was probably one of the worst experiences I had ever had when I was younger. Did you guys ever try out for anything? If so, how did it go?

since 7th grade I have been watching this video every year the night before a tryout to get me ready it has become a ritual. It is now my final year and probably the last time I will watch this video :( your content help in so many ways from making me laugh and just being really entertaining. It's been a good run!🙃
This was the first throwback SDC vid I've seen and now your channel name makes sense to me. The current format is less comedy and more NBA daily news recap, daily questions and such. I'll watch anything you bring out Zach, but this vid had me in stitches. Maybe sprinkle in a little more comedy into today's content? I see the conundrum, having the personal anecdotes allows for way more comedic leeway, while covering the nba specifically you can only go off others' reports and coverage, so there the humor can almost only be achieved by roasting players, management and fanbases - which I find is the lowest form of comedy tho not altogether unfunny :)

I feel you man, I was considered better than pretty much everyone on the team (by the other players) but I was considered too short to play. Not gonna let it get me down though, just gonna use it to motivate me more :)

You know what's sad? I'm actually really good at basketball and I did pretty good at the tryouts. They said only (out of 30) 15 JV players would make the team and they put the list of who made it on a wall. I didn't see my name on the list. This is the sad part, they said you have to have good grades (like out of the 7 people who made the team and are in my grade, 5 of them had horrible grades), you mustn't been written up before tryouts (out of the 7, 3 of them got written up), and you have to AT LEAST come to one of the tryouts (believe it or not, this one kid has bad grades, got written up, and didn't come to any of the tryouts, but made the team) and I have all A's and never got written up and came to all of the tryouts. They said they don't need a winning team, they just need a student team. Well that shit was rigged.
This happened to me in January and I didn’t even get the ball from my teammates so the coaches didn’t knew how good I was and now, there’s no stopping me

I was cut in 7th because my school lost a form I needed, I missed the first day because it took so long for them to recover it. I then was put in the other side of the court with the teams that weren't going to make it were. I now start on a team that can win state.... I think he made a mistake...

trying to make varsity this year, I was on jv last year even though i'm 6'4 172 lbs(didn't get a crazy amount minutes either)
