Great start to 24 and thanks for the inspiration. I really didn't do any milky way nightscapes last year accept for some Venice canal nightscapes. I'm pushing myself in 2024. New car, new website soon, and importantly a new ImagePrograf Pro-1000 about to be delivered anyday. Happy shooting for 2024 from down in Ballan 😃👍
Fantastic video Richard!!! Really enjoy watching your video's, it's almost like I'm there except for the mosquitoes. You must overlap quite a bit in your panoramas, 28 photos in the one picture , which looked fantastic, like all the pictures you took. Great job, thanks for sharing!!
I have been think of doing just simple single shot sometime this year as well. Just back to basic and wil make it simple. Thanks for beautiful pics and description.
Now that does look remote. I was glad to hear you had your boots on. I would have been concerned with snakes and crocs, not the mosies! As usual some terrific shots. I really liked the one at the swamp where you captured the entire milky way.
Love see you going to the basics and getting those amazing images. Thank you for sharing these adventures and of course, for creating such good stories with your video shooting and editing.
So jealous of your skies, i struggle to get better than bortle 5 were i live. It must be amazing to be able to indulge in your hobby frequently. Anyway going to tenerife in the summer so hoping to get something like above mount teide. Keep up the great videos richard. Awesome 😊
Fantastic video & images Richard. Just got out with a couple of astro buddies (Virat & Greg, both of whom you know) for the first rising Milky Way of the season too. Would love to get over to SA some day, you have some really great old buildings and farmhouses, much better preserved than they are out here in the West 😊
wow fabulous images Richard..just proves can be done without tracker. Can honestly say you wouldn’t get me at a swamp with any chance of snakes being around. Braver man than me 👍😃
Fantastic adventure again Richard. I am always so wishing I could be around bortle 1/2 skies that easy 😅. You do know how to take good advantage of those 👌.
That was a beauty as usual mate ! It's always great to see our old friend the Milky Way for the first time in February. I might have to get out myself and have a go !
Amazing Photographs, thank you for explaining your thought process too. it absolutely help new starters like me on thinking about compositioning and planning a shot, most of my timelpases/photos are just shots of #milkyway core. Absolutely love the part of the video around 05:44 where stars, in the milkyway galactic core, are twinkling in the background.
Good morning Richard, loving this location you were shooting at, beautiful images well worth missing out on sleep😉 hope you got some sleep when you got home😀
I went out this morning stars were out so I headed out to a local ruin ! I set up my camera and the clouds rolled straight away so now I'm watching Richard Tatti latest video
I think you and I were out at the same time mate. We were both itching to get out for our first GC shot of the year. Love the idea of the lights on stands. That will work well with the phone photos I do. What camera are you shooting the video with mate? To capture stars in the bg is awesome. :Love it mate. I spoke briefly about you on my last live stream and showed some of your images on your website. They love them.

The first image at the swamp took by breath away. I'm so hoping it's on your next USB or calendar. Really do appreciate the effort to take us with you, Richard (and that we don't have to stay up all night and battle mosquitos). Thank you, thank you, lovely man.
Some real dedication there fighting off those swamp mozzies 😂. Love the the back to basics theme, great reminder that it's only as complicated as we want to make it for ourselves.
Yes the Central Victorian mozzies can be brutal as you well know Dominic. I am doing quite a few videos on the theme of comparisons and getting back to basics lately.
Heading out tonight if it stays clear, it's actually right up your alley with your love of old dead tree's and its also clear flat horizon for using a tracker.
