I still miss the old Disneyland Band, and I still think that both styles of performance deserve a place. However, these guys are starting to grow on me more and more. The description I read when this band was introduced was that it was supposed to be more "drum-corps-esque." While their drill certainly seems to try to capture that, their musicality is much jazzier than what would be considered drum corps. Not to mention that woodwinds (like the saxophones) wouldn't be allowed in the corps. I wish that they had introduced these guys as the Disneyland Jazz Band - That March, While the old guys could have stayed around and really been the Disneyland Marching Band. I know it's a dead issue that's been dead for a while, but I can't help it. Still though, these guys are growing on me.
