Back in the day, long hair went UP in the shako for neatness and uniformity!
Today they understand that it's not a military unit and that there's nothing wrong with a little bit of hair showing, or wearing sunglasses, or having fun.
Their marching /choreography charting needs more work, but the musicianship and arranging are rather good.
