I live in South Carolina where these grow natively and found them in the yard at work. Ate some and saved the seeds. Saving this video for when my wife and I finish buying a house so we can plant them there. Thank you very much.
Good evening Freezingdart and welcome to my channel. So happy to hear that you were able to find some wild ones to save the seeds from. Now just remember at times they can be difficult to start from seeds but don't give up. Your welcome and more than happy to share as much information with everyone as possible. Take care and have a blessed day ahead. ❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
Good evening October Opal and happy that you enjoyed the video. Hope you have been doing well and good to see you comment.❤️ Yes it definitely does sound like popcorn thank you for that visual.🤣 Take care and have a blessed evening. ❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
Thanks saved a bunch of seeds a few months ago and going through your play list noticed thisone so I watched and now gonna try to grow one. Thanks again Teresa.
Good evening Katherine and happy that you enjoyed the video. Your welcome and more than happy to help and encourage everyone to grow as much as possible. Also know muscadine seeds have a low germination rate but don't give up. Keep on trying ❤️ Take care and have a blessed evening. ❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
Good evening darling Beverly and happy that you enjoyed the video. Hoping to encourage as many people as possible to grow as much as possible.❤️ Take care and have a blessed evening. ❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
Your welcome dear Pauletta and happy that you enjoyed the video. Hoping to get a bunch to germinate. Thank you so much and may God bless you also.❤️ Take care and have a blessed evening. ❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
Hi Teresa, thanks for posting this video. Can' t wait to get my own seeds going. Is it better to do this when your seeds are right out of the fruit or is it better to let your seeds dry out first?
did these germinate? I have some seeds. I was wondering if I have to freeze them, before trying to planting them. I know they have a tuff outer layer. I think I may crack the outer layer, to hope to encourage them to spout. How did yours do?
Can you do this directly after getting them from a muscadine, or do you need to dry them our and/or put them in the fridge for weeks like you do apple seeds?
Good evening Jeff and happy that you enjoyed the video. Muscadines enjoy growing in zones 6-10. However they need full sun and trunk protection in zone 6. They truly love hot weather and full sun. Personally no I don't ferment my seeds before starting them. Your welcome and more than happy to help out as much as possible. Take care and have a blessed evening. ❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
I live in mid Michigan, I just picked my first grape of the season off of my red muscadine. It grew probably 90 bunches of nice sized grapes. It’s the second year it bore. I planted it 3 years ago. Got nothing the first year, two bunches the second year and a really nice crop this year. They aren’t supposed to grow real great up this far, but they had the vine on discount at the Tractor Supply store, so I bought it on a whim. Happy I did🙂. I made the photo of the grapes my profile picture so you can see how they did here in zone 5
Can you do any seeds like seeds, out of fruits and vegetables from the grocery store usually the Vegetables, seeds, and fruit seeds from the grocery store don’t work
Hi- mine are turning a yellow - orange around the seed. I know you said black is bad. Is yellow/ orange normal ? Or should I redo to a new paper towel? About how long did you say it would take to germinate/ sprout?
Hey Teresa! I came across a video this morning in my feed, of you showing the wild muscadine vines you found, cutting the seeds out, and making wild muscadine "jam" (not the dumpling video). I watch 10 minutes of it, and paused it to do something, and now the video is gone. Was it deleted, or, am I not seeing it? Its not coming up when I search for it. Thanks!
Good morning Destiny and sorry about that. It was a glitch and the video was supposed to be posted tomorrow. It will be back and viewable tomorrow. Not sure why it posted today. Sorry for any inconvenience. Take care and have a blessed day.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
In southern okla.,pushmataha, county, it has been hot 105 temp and dry. I went out to the plum thicket today( that's where wild muscadines grow wild) and they are still half green and shriveled up. To dry I guess . Any way, can I still use the seeds
I saved some muscadine seeds and AI said to cut into the seeds, then throw them in some wet peat moss in a baggie & into the refrigerator for 4months. I was so confused on how to cut into these seeds. 😂
Good evening Neisha and happy that you enjoyed the video. Personally lay them out on paper towels and let them dry. Once they are dry store them in a glass jar. Take care and have a blessed day ahead.❤️🍀🦉 Blessings, Teresa
Well, it’s like tomato seeds you used to save seeds from year to year but the seed companies has fix that or they don’t do that anymore. It’ll make a plant but no fruit there so they can charge you a bunch of money for tomato seeds.

So you made this film one year ago?
Right before fall?
Are you looking to plant the muscadine plants before winter?
Can you do this directly after getting them from a muscadine, or do you need to dry them our and/or put them in the fridge for weeks like you do apple seeds?
Could you tell me what zones muscadines will grow in and do you ferment your seeds before starting them? I appreciate any input. Thanks.

I also found seeded red grapes at a produce stand so I’m saving seeds from those- they are also yellow around them.

Let me add my seeds are the bronze muscadine.
How do you prepare the seeds for long term storage?

Cinnamon helps with preventing mold from growing on your seeds
I saw a video you made last year like this. Do you need to grow them every year? Or do you grow them to have as many plants to produce more?
Grape vines come back year after year
Which month do you germinate the seeds in?
November through February
How long does it take for them to germinate? Do you start seeing roots coming out of seeds
A month and yes you’ll see the roots
Well, it’s like tomato seeds you used to save seeds from year to year but the seed companies has fix that or they don’t do that anymore. It’ll make a plant but no fruit there so they can charge you a bunch of money for tomato seeds.
Did this work for you?
Where's the update for this video?
Sorry didn't get a chance to make a update video. Take care and have a blessed evening. ❤️🍀🦉
