- This video is a step-by-step tutorial on how to Send Email from PowerApps. We will explore the Microsoft 365 Outlook connector and see how we can send email using the Send Email V2 Function. We will set the subject, HTML body, To, Cc, Bcc, From, Attachments, Importance & much more.
We will send Images as Email Attachments using the Add Picture, Image & Pen Input controls in Power Apps. We will also leverage the PowerApps Attachment Control to send email attachments. This enables the user to send files & images as email attachments.

There are standard RUclipsrs who would take 20 minutes to explain the sendmail command with all it's parameters and then there's Reza who takes the same 20 minutes and covers every aspect about mails I could imagine and some that I wouldn't even have thought of. You can use flow to route incoming emails to SP Lists. I do not have a video reference on it though.

I will be converting many flows from an enterprise recognition app to this. It's easier to code the award certificates in HTML and populate the emails directly. I also use the Print() function to allow them to print screens directly.

A new feature called "export to pdf" is coming to power app. We could use it to generate pdf of form control data cards and attach it in email.

Is it possible to use a specific item in a document library instead? I tried to get it to work, but the contenbytes part is quite tricky. I was trying to implement tables into the rich text but somehow it seems, that tables are not supported by rich text, and with HTML Editor we can only view the table not edit it. Is there any way we could implement this functionality directly or indirectly?

I have a folder with several files in a shrepoint library (but I could have on anyother location).
In the APP, I want the user to select all or specific files from that folder, say from a Gallery that I already built, and automatically send them as attachments to a specific email that the user types in an input box.
This should be done with a flow inside the powerapps, or is there another way? I'm really strggling with this.

I can get the table to display correctly in the app, but when it gets sent to my email, it concatenates everything so there is only one row on my table instead of moving on to the next row like it does it is showing in the app.

I believe there is a function called IfError
You can run the email function within it. If it results in an error, you could display a message for the user.
couldn't figure out why Office365Outlook.SendEmail was sending HTML text as text and I thought it would be some whacky thing you had to do to convert it to images and formatting but it was literally because I wasn't using V2, THANK YOU!

@@RezaDorrani the only issue I have now is that V2 changes all the formatting i’ve done in .sendemail, it all just shows as one paragraph now instead of lines and spaces, I don’t suppose you have you any videos explaining formatting on using sendemailV2? Great, helpful and informative video as always! I am looking to have a 'chat' function added onto the tickets onto my Powerapps help-desk. The help-desk data is stored in a SharePoint list. Do you have any suggestions on how to achieve this? Or have the email that is replied to from this new feature auto-uploaded into the list? Many thanks!
Chat in Power Apps? PVA would be an option. You can use a custom pcf component and bring in pva.
Email can be exported to SP via flow.
I do not have video references for either of the above options.

Sir, you gave me the missing piece I needed to fully flesh out my app. I couldn't figure out the attachments portion of sending through an app. I also think I will use a pop up window so the user can see what they are sending before it's sent as well. Appreciate the ideas, thank you!

@@RezaDorrani It took a few steps, but this is where I started my project, shorturl.at/cgAGN. I needed to create a mobile app that would give my managers the ability to notify the general managers in my company. The caveat was that it couldn't be done via email as the GMs ignore their emails. You can't fix bad process, but those were my parameters. I lucked upon that article during my search.
For the first part, I needed the ability for the GM phone numbers to be in text form as I couldn't make this work using 365 connector in Power Apps (I used the connector in Power Automate to populate the fields). So for each location, there's an associated GM and their phone number. Next I used ForAll on a button to pull all the phone numbers into a collection from the filtered gallery. From there I used the Launch function which sends all the numbers to the user's text app where they can send a message to everyone all at once, or an individual GM if they choose. I added some other things to this, but I wanted to keep this simple. The managers love it, and want the other IT managers to use it now.
I hope this all makes sense as I was pretty proud of my work. Outside of that article, I applied many of the techniques and principles you've shown me over your various videos to put it all together.
Once again, I greatly appreciate everything you've taught us all up to this point.

I have an issue that I have been trying to resolve. I would like to send the submitted form by user signed in to their specific email as an PDF attachment. I have tried PDF() function but it only sends the content that is visible on screen. How can I configure to send all the content of submitted form to user's email. You could add all columns as data cards in form control and then use pdf function.
I have not tried a scenario where all data of user needs to be posted in pdf hence not sure what the best option would be.

In OUTLOOK when sending a new mail there is a "vote" option (you can select multiple choices Eg I accept / no accept, YES/NO Etc.) and in automatic outlook sends the reply to the sender. the question is. To add files to doc library, you would need to use flow. No direct way to do so from power apps.
You can collection in gallery or collection, and then send info to flow to create the files.
Some of my earlier videos do show how to add files.

Hi Raza, Great video. One doubt. I have the emails content in SharePoint list. In flows I query the list and use the content to send emails. If the content is static it works fine. If I want make the email content more dynamic, I used the token like @{triggerOutputs()?['body/Title']}, but it is not converting the token into an actual value. I tried Parse JSON in compose. Didn't work. Any help on that is really appreciated. thanks.
For that I would have to either look at your flow in action or recreate your scenario at my end to know the cause of the issue.

Hey Reza! I implemented this process, and it works beautifully. The only thing I'm struggling with is how to clear the attachments after I've sent the email. My users most likely will come back and send an email for another request type. When they return to the form, the attachments for the previous email request are still there. Any help would be appreciated. 🙂

It takes size from attachment. In email you can always define the image size using html.

I have not done any video on that concept. I typically use galleries more than data tables. Offers a lot more flexibility.

How can we send the email to the approvers (email addresses are coming from sharepoint list in powerapps) by setting variable? i saw in the last part of your video it went direct to approvers. in my case i have a column where all emails are stored. thank you.
What type of column is it?
If Text - then simply read those values in power apps and add it to "To" property of send email.
If multi select person - then use the Concat function - Concat(columnname, Email, ";")

Can I inject image somehow within the text? When I use the json formatting get error about behavior function in non-behavior property.

Hi Reza, Could you please make videos of trouble shoot issues where Email is different to UPN. My sendEmailV2 doesnt work in PowerApps for that reason . So I have to use Power Automate

Should be that complex. I make videos when I receive multiple requests on a topic. Every 6 months I ask subscribers for topic suggestions on Community Tab of my channel. Most voted idea gets added to my backlog. Make sure to post this idea whenever I post the next topic suggestion post.

Those would be actionable messages with outlook and requires flow. There is also a send email with options function in outlook connector. I have no videos covering these though.
What licences do you have whe you do this?

Its known that GMAIL can't decode base64 function, what should we do to embed an image in email body and send it to the GMAIL that could be seen?
