Very thorough video, once again. I downloaded the app, but I wonder if you have a link to the list structure that you used? It takes a bit of trial and error to recreate it from the hints in the video.
Hello RD, thank you for another valuable tutorial video. I downloaded the calendar app. I wanted to test it in my environment using your asset and travel SharePoint lists. It will be very helpful, if you could share both lists if possible with the sample data. Thanks again.
HI! Great Video Reza! :) Is it possible to modify this calendar so that multiple date fields can be selected, marked, and when clicked again, the marking is removed? I would like to collect the marked date fields and store them in a SharePoint list. Thank You! =)

Great video! Thank you so much for your time and effort to share your knowledge, is very appreciated. I do have one question I haven't found an answer for yet.....hopefully you will be able to help. Do you know when you have the List and then you create the Calendar view from the list and when you click on a particular day of that calendar view, the default form for a new event will open and the Start Date is set for the date you clicked on the calendar. However, when I customize the form in power apps, I cannot find a way to map this behavior. I would like the power app form to also get the date the user has selected on the calendar when clicking +New........Do you know any way to do this? Thanks in advance!
I have not tried this scenario. I believe Power Apps would probably not get information for the date the user clicked + new event on. I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.
Great video, thank you! I used a SharePoint list as my data source. Followed the steps in the video but my calendar in PowerApps does not display the events e.g. the dot on each day with an event. How to resolve this please? Thanks!
Hi Reza, great video as always. But I have a question regarding this calender. Do you see it possible to get a year view ie have all the months for current year as starting point of the app??

@Reza Dorrani I'm attempting to put the calendar only (the 5 components of it) into a container that is vertical. Of course it stacked everything. I put a horizontal container around the title and two arrows and that worked fine, the weekday names are fine, but in the calendar body I don't know how to vertically align the 3 components of the month view (title, subcircle, circle). I think I need a small vertical container but am unable to make that work No matter what I do, the little dot indicating an appointment is BESIDE the title and subcircle not under it. Can you do a quick video on how to do this within a responsive page that has both horizontal and vertical containers? It's the only thing that's not working right. Your video is awesome and I just need this help to make it look good. Thanks very much.

Hello, Excellent contribution and help... However, I still have some doubts... What happens in the event that an event is overwritten on the same date and time. Hi Reza, thks for your great video. I would like to ask one thing, how can your default code display all the calendar from Office 365 ? I also have another calendar from my teammate but in power apps it only shows my calendar only. I hope you can answer, thank you !
Power Apps will only show your calendar as your auth is used to sign in. To get other calendars, you would need to write logic to get that info + will require sharing of calendars, etc. Not something I have a video reference for.
Hey Reza, if you needed to see a day view of the calendar and move between days (like classic SharePoint calendar) while displaying events within that day, would you have the calendar in the left of the screen and display the events in the right portion in time order? Just thinking of scenarios of where there are more than two events on a specific day, the PA calendar screen alone doesn’t quite have the screen real estate to deal with that.
That would be an option for sure. When user selects a specific day in calendar, a connected gallery on the right hand side can list out all the events for that specific date.

Thank you very much for the video. As a beginner, this vedeo is perfect for me! One question is, how can i expand my calendar vertically? It seems to extend parallel as your video..
Welcome!
Not sure what extend parallel means. The calendar is a gallery and a gallery has scrollbar.
@@RezaDorrani 13:13 on your video, you could expand left and right of the copied calendar. But I would like to resize by expanding up and down..
@@artistlee5553 You can try that also but you would also need to adjust the template size of gallery. I have done detailed videos on gallery control so I will recommend checking that out.
Matching my use case thanks a lot

Great! Another masterpiece, Sir. Thanks for this. ☺️

Thank you Reza!

Awesome content Reza. This solved a lot of issues for me. Is it possible tho. to select multiple dates with this component?
Possible but would require a lot of changes to component. I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.
Hi, great video as always.
I wanted to check something. Have you ever tried to add multi-day events? Where looking for a good way to visualize these on a weekly basis... So a combination of multi-day vs one day events...
I had tried that a while ago on a project. Complicated to handle in power apps.
Your video is AWESOME as usual. Is there a way to create recurring events?
Most welcome!
I am not aware of any option for creating recurring events via power apps.
Great video as usual 👍
Thank You
Amazing work ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome video as usual!
Any ideas on how I would use a Gallery as a source rather than a SharePoint list? Also how would we format entries based on start and end dates (not just singular entries)?
A gallery itself needs a data source. Calendar is a gallery.
thanks reza!!
Welcome
This was a great video! Do you have a app download available for members? I was looking through the content and I didn't see this one available?
Memberships started in aug 2023. This app was probably before that. If there was a public link shared, then it would be in video description
Great Video ,Thanks Reza. I have connected my work progress tracker everything looks fine , Would it be possible to change the fill of circle 1 to Red if the item is overdue ?.

Magic work as usual Reza. In my instance I created similar to your Recruitment buttons - I have selected current month March. At the bottom of the calendar I can see some of the April events without any matching calendar boxes. I am struggling to debug this - if something leaps to mind as to why this is happing, I'd love the guidance. :)
Calendar may show a few days of previous and next month depending upon number of days in current month. Is that your issue or is it showcasing april events in march month?
@@RezaDorrani Hi Rezi, the calendar is showing April events in boxes that are not inside the 0-41 gallery boxes. They appear as if there were gallery boxes 43, 44 and 45.
These 'overflow' events are correctly shown in the April view. Any helps to debug would be fantasic.
@@stephencuff I am not sure about what the steps to fix would be. I recommend posting your issue with screenshots on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com

Amazing video! A common scenario is that calendar events fall across a range of dates. At 16:40 you show how to make the dot visible based on the 'Due date'. How can we make the dots visible across a range of dates inclusive of 'Start date' to 'Due date', instead of just the 'Due date'? Thank you :)
You would filter on date range. I have done videos on gallery filters. I’ll recommend to check those videos.
Hi Sir, I'm having the same problem which i can't make the dots visble on the date range. I have seen the powerapps community platform but also fail. Mind to share the code for it if you got it? I've been stuck there for a week now.
Very thorough video, once again. I downloaded the app, but I wonder if you have a link to the list structure that you used? It takes a bit of trial and error to recreate it from the hints in the video.
Thanks!
I do not have any links related to the list structure as there is no easy way to export SP list templates in modern SharePoint.
@@RezaDorrani Thank you, the screenshot of the SharePoint list is then what I will work from!
Hello RD, thank you for another valuable tutorial video. I downloaded the calendar app. I wanted to test it in my environment using your asset and travel SharePoint lists. It will be very helpful, if you could share both lists if possible with the sample data. Thanks again.
They are based on the standard list templates asset and travel. Just create a list using those templates.
Thanks RD. I appreciate it.
A quick question is there a way to use MS Teams Shared Calendar in PowerApps?

HI! Great Video Reza! :) Is it possible to modify this calendar so that multiple date fields can be selected, marked, and when clicked again, the marking is removed? I would like to collect the marked date fields and store them in a SharePoint list. Thank You! =)
Possible by adding option for user to check multiple items in gallery. I dont have a specific video reference on it though.
Awesome work.
Might u perhaps know how to change the first day of the week?
That would require updates to the code base related to the template. There would be multiple changes needed. I would have to try it out to provide the steps.
Always check the forums first to see if someone has done something similar. I just did and seems someone may have done it - powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Change-calendar-page-starting-day-to-monday/m-p/501377#M152449
Awesome video, is there anyway we can disable the previous days from today ?
You can check if date < today and accordingly make the controls within calendar read only. This is not something I have a video reference for though.
Amazing Videos! At 18:41 u have shown how we are filtering the record from drop down. How you have populated user dropdown with all the created by name and ALL??
Check video description. I believe I shared the App. You can check the code there + I have done many videos on gallery filtering (that include All logic). You can check those.
@@RezaDorrani , thank you so much for your answer, I'll have a look. And once again, thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Reza, thank you for all this information.
I want to design a datepicker in this color labeled calender format for annual leaves. But I want to exclude holidays so that user can't select an holiday date for annual leave. Just like locking cells in excel. Do you know how I can solve this?

I really love this calendar. It is amazing. Quick question, when scrolling forward, it stops on Dec 31, 2022. Can the calendar go into the new year and if yes, how?
If you look at the standard template screen, it does allow beyond dec of current year.

Thanks!
Not an option with the gallery control.
Hi, amazing video, but in the gallery section, how did you get it to say "No Device Due" on the empty days?
What time in video was that shown?
Hi Amy, thanks for liking the video.

@@RezaDorrani Thank you Reza, I will check out the monthly suggestions. But theoretically, wouldn't it work perfectly if PowerApps had a z-container? one that would allow you to stack elements on the z-axis? I think that would be the easiest way to solve this problem. Are you aware of anything that manipulates the z-index like containers that go horizontal or vertical?
@@AmyCustomer Im not aware of that
Great video, a question, what if I want to use the form from Powerapps to book for 3 interviewees who will come for an appointment 3 days ahead from a current start date to an end date i.e say from 1/1/2023 to 3/1/2023, so in this case after the start to end date is specified the tool create the interviews 3 items in a recurring manner

Hi Reza, it was very well explained. Is there a possibility to show 2 or 3 months data rather than a single month

Hello, Excellent contribution and help... However, I still have some doubts... What happens in the event that an event is overwritten on the same date and time. There is some way in powerapps to compare both fields and that in the event that you are choosing a date that already has an event, it will notify you that that date is already occupied. Is it possible to do that?
Possible! For that before adding event, you would need to query list to check if that date is already taken and accordingly notify the user.

Hi Reza great video as usual. I followed & did everything, but couldn't connect my data source which is SharePoint. It shows me table & connector when I tried add data. Any idea?

Hi Reza, Great information as always
I learn so much from you about Power Apps
In this video, when you are showcasing the color code calendar screen from 17:55 to 18:56
I am trying to replicate the same scenario where I have a SP list with two date columns, start date and end date
First, when I try to remove the circle and subcircle from the MonthDay Gallery I get errors
Second, You mentioned to add second gallery inside of it which I tried as well but it is not showing the data in it as well
By any chance can you put source code for those calendar gallery apps in your video description so I can take detailed peek into the code for specifically the color code logic calendar screen
Thanks :)
Also, the calendar is not showing todays date , do you know what could be the reason for that?
