Shell Scenarios - A tool for the future

Imagining the future in an ever changing society is a complicated task.
But this is the challenge the Shell Scenarios team takes on as it creates a picture of the world in 2050 -- and its energy needs.
This process requires a deep understanding of global geo-politics issues: in particular the interactions between politics, economics and energy.
In this short film we hear how the Shell Scenarios team have built a very large, global energy computer model that can factor in all these global forces to run incredibly detailed simulations.
The team also uses a unique methodology that allows them to systematically consider the impact of historical relationships on the future.
The results are credible future scenarios which can hold up to rigorous questioning.
