Pau (Pablo) Casals, often called the foremost cellist of the 20th Century, shares his great artistry with young student NINA de VERITCH as he plays the first movement of the Brahms E Minor Cello Sonata. From the legendary Master Class Series filmed at the University of California, Berkeley in 1960.

They held that the precision of any printed text-music included-was of paramount significance. That may work for Webern, certainly not for Brahms.
