O my goodness!...I had just actually thought of this idea, of having an elevated big pot or something cemented square or rectangular thing with soil on it, for planting fruit-bearing plants, in order to avoid being washed away, from stormy rainy days or floods, and now, here it is, I saw my plans for my plants, right in this video!...Cause this so far, is the best thing to do!....👍
We used very little wood in our build, apart from the main door openings, but even then we treated with insecticide. However, I have spent such a long time filling in holes and using God knows how many tubes if silicone to stop the ants coming in the house. Seems to be worse in the summer. Totally agree Adam, there's always something to do in our houses. We moved into our new place in February, but I knew it would have to be a daily maintenance job. Garden is looking nice mate.
Hi Adam and Jane yeah bit of a problem with termites special treated timber has to be used but your other suggestion my do the trick just paint the cement and about your vegetable garden l like what you are doing have tried starting your seeds in a seed tray first and once they get to a certain size you can plant them and a bit of advice root vegetables cannot be grown repeatedly in one spot you have to do crop rotations because root vegetables are heavy feeders and take a lot of nutrients out of the soil what l do is l leave one bed empty and bury my kitchen scraps to decompose which will attract worms it's another way to do composting happy gardening I see Jane loves her cooking that bread looked really nice happy gardening to the both of you 😊😊❤
Hi Adam , So happy you posted another video, I hope your better mate . You can use UPVC ceiling panels , They are not expensive. Have a wonderful day .
Thank you so much my friend. It's definitely an option. We need to check it all but don't want any further damage so hardiflex might just be the best option.
@@AdamandJanesLifestyle . Plant Lemongrass all over your house. You can also use it to flavor your cooking and letson. ,,, Lemongrass oil: A Cornell University study found that lemongrass oil is effective at repelling subterranean termites and mosquitos. Lemongrass extract is a safer alternative to chemical termicides because it's low toxicity to humans and beneficial insects.
Don't ever use wood anywhere in the house except door frames . Use steel, artificial wood and cement and foam for insulation. Then have your house protected by termite protection every 3-5 years. I would inspect every year. If you see lines looking like mud, that it, infestation has occurred. Check where you get water, they start digging in that area by the hose. GL
Sorry to see you dealing with termite infestation, however what you go through is a great lesson for my upcoming house build. Good looking bread: possible side business: Jane’s Breads 👏🏻👏🏻
Everytime I west there, I need to fix my roof that alway leak and the bugs Its cheap to build my place but it cost a lot to maintain it , better rent the place

Hi Adam, why bother with any kind of ceiling in the garage? Leave the concrete bare and paint it. No need for plasterboard or Hardieflex. There'll be nowhere for creatures to hide! Roger.
Thank you so much Roger! That is actually our preference. We will see how bad the damage is but the cement is still good as new and painted will look OK. Have a great weekend 😊
That will be your best solution, I did that and problem solved, 5 years without any creatures, we actually changed old of our bed plants to cement too. Good luck 😊
In order to get top Dollar ware I live the Inspector makes the Home Owner has to have the House Treated for Termites even Though My House is Solid Concrete! So you’ll have to have Termite Resistant Wood put In!!
love your honest everyday vlogs

we used hardiflex for ceiling. you can just paint it no need to put a ceiling for outside. other option metal sheet for outdoor ceiling will be good.
Ants and termites love hardiflex trust me I have lived in the Philippines for years

Yes, shorter time for installation and clean finish.
Use hardiflex boards. Its termite proof and does not burn as fast as plywood.
Thank you so much my friend. It's definitely an option. We need to check it all but don't want any further damage so hardiflex might just be the best option.
If it's cement the ceiling just paint it if it is rough the finished just make a simple design it's cheaper and easy
Happy Blissful Friday❤❤❤
Happy Friday my good friend. Have a great and safe weekend 😊

Bread looked nice hope you feel better soon good vid take care
Thank you so much my friend 😊
Looking forward to seeing the end results and the vege harvesting ❤
Hardiflex for cieling would be advisable, not get eaten by termites you just need to paint it.
Glad you discovered the termites earlier before it spreads out otherwise it'll be a disaster.
why don't you put plasterboard ceilings?
It's an option. Thank you my friend 😊
Maayong Hapon Friends...
Maayong hapon my good friend 😊
If it’s hybrid type of seeds though, it’s not advisable to reuse the seeds.
its more fun in the phil .right adam? lol i remember my husband to u bcoz of ur accent coz u borth british lo i love u guys see u in ur next vlog keep it up jane doing some home made snacks ingat
Those insect infestations can really “bug” a person..termites are one of the best for deconstructing wooden structures 😵💫🤷♂️
You can make it
Thank you so much 😊
Expanded ceiling with metal with fibre board trained not to use any type of timber

👍👍👍
Just do some plastering on the garage ceiling and leave it exposed..

Don't use plywood or wood for the ceilings instead use hardeflex or gibson board in the ceilings.
If you have gerds so bad you should not be eating anything with flour, spicy, and msg loaded. And fasting from 6pm to 6am
We don't eat or use MSG... ever. The flour is gluten-free so Jane can eat it. Thank you my friend 😊
Normal in ph 🎉
Yes, very normal and a real big problem at times. They can get everywhere. Have a great day my friend 😊
@AdamandJanesLifestyle salamat kuya
I wonder if you aleady treat your soil against termites; your might as well do it now there are professionals who handle this.
yummy sour dough bread!
Termites are so common in Philippine houses!!😢😢
No offense, but your plant box looks like ph cemetery
We love them. Will look even better when full of plants. Raised beds are very common around the world 😊
Can you bait for them on boundary
We think so. We will be installing things on the wall outside to lure them before they even think to go inside 😊
