  • Rajamani performs an original composition of his own, blending Indian and flamenco musical styles the Rajamani way. One can see the origins of the Roma and their history as well as the roots of flamenco dance coming from India. Rajamani and the Indian vocalist Nagavalli Medicharla sing a deeply spiritual poem of Meera (a Princess of Rajasthan India). The Indian dancer is Reetu Jain and the Flamenco dancer is Olivia Chacon.
According to Rajamani, this is immigrant music of the modern-day Indian as of the immigrant music of the Roma of old, being reinvented and interpreted. It is different from the fusion music of flamenco and Indian music and dance which is so commonly done with analytical percision today by many artists who are simply well versed in their traditions through years of rigorous training. This is not fusion music. This is an ongoing journey of music, lifestyle and tradition which has a common thread of history and culture.

Flamenco to me is an expression of repressed art rtrying to resist and burst.
Indian dance here is the refined calm poise of a free roaming wild horse, flamenco is the same horse captured and repressed wildly trying to free itself.
The repression is understandable if seen historically that the gypsies were discriminated and mistreated and relegated to enslavement or banishment from to their land of origin in music appreciating india to music repressing abrahamic faith lands of muslim and Christian Nations.

This is the most beautiful blend of Indian with flamenco i have seen. It is neither indian nor flamenco but a new sound and blend of its own. Full of beauty and passion of the divine. Truely can see the various forms of Indian dance and music having deeply influenced the birth of flamenco. Though traditional flamenco is beautiful it is Great to finally hear and see flamenco done with originality rather than the same old rhythms, dances and constant aggressive passion. Thank you

The Kathak from 🇮🇳 - similarly with the Flemings ( Romani / gipsy ) from Europe who originated from 🇮🇳 - has many commonality like some words, mode of worship etc.
There were many invasions by Turks, Moguls, etc who were converting peoples to Islam by force so to avoid this, peoples started migrating towards west, Middle East, central Asia, Russia and Europe and even to the American Continent.

    • @truth_seekerwhatever7697
      @truth_seekerwhatever7697 Год назад +1

No , they did not migrate because of Moguls . These people were taken as Slaves. People who would clean the shit at their palaces and clean the streets. Some may had other skills too. That is why these people became gypsies roaming from one place to another once those Empires collapsed , cloud no adjust to modern way of life. Mostly were untouchables by caste.

indian dance is known as kathak in this video.. it was the dance that was performed in temples and it depicts lord krishna and radha rani's tales as kathak means kath=story ak= teller.. and when the mughals invaded india , kathak became a court dance with a lil of its mughal's touch.. as there are two kinds of kathak , hindu kathak and mughali kathak! but there is not much difference between both so it is simply known as kathak!

Hello the name of this song is
      "Wake Up My Love"
The song is composed by Oliver Rajamani but the lyrics are taken from the poem of the Indian princess Mira who wrote spiritual love songs.
Wake up my darling with the flute
      wake up my beloved
the night is over, morning has come
in every household doors are open
one can hear the cowheardess churning the curds
      the jingling of bells
wake up lord it is already morning
the angels are standing at the doorstep
      the cowboys are making noise
taking bread and butter in their hands
and so on the lyrics goes.........

    • @adirnwkfbeikrjfkae4428
      @adirnwkfbeikrjfkae4428 3 года назад +4

Is the Indian Goddess with many arms perhaps depicting this kind of dancing with the flowing arm and hand movements?

Nope! Both are mutually exclusive. The goddess “Durga” at fundamental level is a fierce depiction of feminine energy against the evil demon with multiple hands showing her ability to wield multiple weapons. The classical dancing stems separately from the work of our ancient Indian sage Bharat Muni who wrote his musical treatise on dramaturgy and histrionics around 200 BCE

      Hi Andando
thks for laughing it is good for health and well being but hopefully you can also laugh at your own mind and observe it also for this makes one more wise it is said. Yes the art we call today as flamenco was born in Spain-Andalusian, but all things change and if one can stay in the present moment of the journey you can be with the unchanging music that is divine beyond time and space.
Flamenco came together in Andalusia but has strong roots in India via Romani genetics. Rajamani's flamenco India music is to enhance the Indianness of flamenco and to educate and create from a divine place.
The experience of the artform we call today as " Gypsy flamenco" was lived as a therapeutic ritual by the Gypsies who experienced persecution at the hands of the Spaniards when "Gypsy flamenco" was not in fashion. The Roma have also experienced persecution by other ethnic groups such as Middle Eastern cultures and other Europeans. "Gypsy Flamenco" is not just a cultural or national identity for the Romani people but it is a spiritual ritual and therapy that goes beyond land, nationality and more thus making it truely a Spiritual Gypsy musical experience of Spain.
True creativity is spiritual with divine awareness and does not belong to anyone but we must certainly not forget to give respect and credit in whatever way to the artist.
Everything in this world is a creation of many factors coming together and the one who can make spiritual magic in this union is blessed.
thanks for your comments and listening to the music. Good luck
