- After getting the run around, I figured out how to clean it myself for very cheap! Everyone can get to the average height ones but what do you do to these very high ones?? I don't do this as a job but I figured out a great way of doing it and after 2 or 3 passes it's almost completely clear for cheap!!! I do hope I helped everyone else with this video. Links to the Foam Cannon and Zep Wash below! Get out there and have fun, experiment and save $$$$!!!

This worked great for us, thanks a million! We ordered and used the foamer just like you recommended and it worked just as you said it would. Ours was pretty severe and I needed to go back over a few places. I also found out that once a bad area has foam on it my extended pool brush helped immensely. We liked the Zep product so much we gave it a shot in our master shower area, and it made the tile and grout shine like new! Prior to seeing your video we struggled for years trying to clean our screens, up and down tall ladders and putting myself in dangerous situations, now almost everything was done from the deck level.
Thanks for the education. I love how your second floor balcony is under the screening.
worked perfectly, thanks for the tip, I already had a foam cannon for the cars but never would have thought to use it for this
Just tried this today and it worked really well. Definitely helped to use the foam cannon and ZEP mold and milder cleaner. We let the ZEP cleaner sit between 30-45 minutes. We also had to purchase an extension wand at Lowes/Home Depot as our pressure washer didn't have the right connections with the original set up. Thank you for the tips!!
Gonna try this ! Our pool screen is massive and took hours to clean just with pressure washer- others wanted $500 plus just to clean it and only part really bad was the very top. So cant wait to try this ! Thanks for the video...
Never thought of using my foam cannon for this. Thank you!
Thanks for the info! Have a blessed day!
Man thank you a whole bunch! You definitely the man for this one
This is the best! 👍 It even works great on gutters
Great video! For years I have been mystified as to how to clean the high rafters of my enclosure. While everything else is pretty white and nice looking, the rafters continue to get blacker and blacker.
I’m having a pool renovation done right now and so the pool is empty. I actually got my 20 foot extension ladder and secured the base to the bottom of the pool and climbed up the ladder and pressure wash that area for the First time. It was not fun! And I was very paranoid about falling off the ladder and into the bottom of the swimming pool. Especially without water.
I wish I had seen this video before yesterday! But from now on this is my go to. Thanks!
Thanks for putting the links to the products you used!
Thank you for that showing how to clean the panels now I can clean the screen myself.
Thank you soooooo much for sharing, I really appreciate you!
GREAT VIDEO! Thank you for producing this video...I'm in Cape Coral helping my family recover from Ian and have a ton of cleaning and replacing screens. Can't get ANYONE to even answer their phones!
Thanks man! worked out great for me!
You’re the man bro. Thank you.
Thanks for saving me a bunch of money and I got to play with my pressure washer for several hours this afternoon. Once I got the hang of it it went pretty well. What really helped was putting the red tip on the end of the power washer to help “scrape“ everything off at the end. Thanks again.
Worked like a charm. Thanks
So glad to help!
Nice work ! I just cleaned mine yesterday
Thank yu so much for this info! We’re moving to Fl real soon, just bought the house; n I’ve already been looking up on how to clean the screens n add lights in channels😊
Dude! Great video! Thanks for sharing man. I’ll be trying this on my screen enclosure.
Our houses are in kissimmee (mostly rentals but we live here) you just saved me a ton.
Hi there neighbor! Well demonstrated and you got yourself one more subscriber. I also relate to you, do it myself and same passion detailing not professional but love what I do. Stay safe all the best from Four Corners FL
Thx for the video bro. This is like my 3rd time watching it. First time I watched it was a few months ago with my spouse. At that time, we had yet to own a house with a pool. We knew this kind of maintenance is important for those who wish to have a swimming pool and wants to save money doing so. Thank you, Sir.
P.S.
Please sure the background music artist info. 👍🏽
Awesome Video Thank You
Ordered today going to try everywhere I see mold pavers etc. Thanks
thank you very much great job
I had a guy try to tell the job would be 1200 $ dollars talking about i have to rent scaffolding and all the run down nonsense . I had to laugh at him . Thanks for the tip im going to give this a shot
Thanks a lot!
Thank You 🙏
Thanks for the video-- I did the full set up! I would add to turn the foamer to the minus (-) setting to get suds-- when I was full + it seemed to use very little product. Yes- it does take patience and a few sweeps for stubborn areas. My question: when finished it it a good idea to refoam and let it set/dry as a coating to prevent mold return? I notice the handrails where I bleached are keeping clear. Anyone know? Thanks again for the great idea- wife is amazed!
Thanks!
Thank you.
Thank you
THANK YOU!!!
You're very welcome!
Thanks. I see that it's been a couple of years since ya did this, soooo I would like to ask *how* are your screens and powder covering over the cage doing? Any problems using Zep Mold & Mildew Remover? I LOVE Zep products cuz they seem to work very well. I just was reluctant to put on my screens and cage. Last time I cleaned the screens, I used water, vinegar, Dawn, and very soft bristle brush; *HOWEVER* , I could not reach the roof (screens OR cage beams), so *THOSE* are green and black..... It looks HORRIBLE.
No damage to screens and/or cage beams since using Zep??
DO ya pressure wash every year or how often do you clean it?
Thanks for your assistance.
EDIT TO ADD:
I read that "Mold Armor" can be used on metal surfaces.........
Ever heard of that one?
hello that was awesome but what can you do with the dirty water and zep going in the pool with also dirt - ken-buying house with same set up thank you
Question, Does this work on green algae as well? I spent $50 on 30 second spray and rinse yesterday and only got the walls of the cage done. this idea will work great for the roof of the enclosure granted it's not as high as yours. but that 30 second cleaner stuff is gone in under a minute. But Kudus for the video, the idea and the links. Before I realized there was links I checked amazon and was like oh crap which one do I buy lol. Went back to the description and saw The Links at the bottom. Now I know exactly which one to get..
Get yourself a couple planks and 8’ stepladders for higher areas. Then use an extension wand with brush on end.
How do you keep the foam out of the pool. I don't think diluted bleach causes a problem but I wouldn't want soap in our pool.
Thanks for a great video.
it gets filtered out, run the pump x24 hours
Question can use this structure for buffalo climate? Snow? Etc
Great video - just wondering if zep is bad for your pool water? Many thanks!
Jajaja! So true about how you cant get anyone to come out, just bought a pressure washer it came with the container. I will try the Zep i have mold and pollen. They never show up jajajaja! Its true for all of Florida i live in New port richey
I am worried about the aluminum finish. Sure it has mold and algae on it, but will the chemicals break down and ruin the protective white coating around all of the aluminum beams??
Wouldn't it be better to tarp over the pool? We are doing it Saturday and thanks for the great info!
We recently moved to Florida and we've got mold and mildew built up on our pool screen...I'm going to do this today. I've heard from MANY people that contractors, etc are bums down here...why is that?
💯🙏🏼💯 thank you 💯🙏🏼💯
What setting do you put the pressure washer on when doing the screens. Trying to buy one but I want it to be low pressure. Suggestions? Thanks.
What exactly IS the green growth? An algee, mold or mildew ?
Which Zep cleaner did you use so many products.
Hi my name is Pat, I live in Bradenton Florida I have a pool cages white and it's 20 to 25 feet high similar to yours and I have terrible phosphate green on mine and I have tried bleach and chlorine and a cleaner from Home Depot that did nothing that I'm going to return today anyway I'm going to try the product that you've got but I have a electric pressure washer at 2000 PSI and when I put chemical in it comes out nicely what I'm wondering if I should get the nozzle that you have to put the new chemical in and put it in my pressure washer. But I'm on my way to Home Depot to get the product that you are using and see how it turns out. I know this video is a year old but I appreciate it. I will let you know how it turned out and thank you again for the information take care and be safe👍👍
I tried this approach and had minimal successful. Used the same product and a foam cannon. The material coming out of the cannon was not foamy - just water and some liquid. It didnt sit and soak as I was expecting.
Are you using the foam canon only because the chemical cleaner is not pressure washer rated?
Do you think this will also clean vinyl soffit?
Does this also work on the actual screen part and not just the framing? Our screen has some algae / mold growth.
Idiot
Does the solution effect a painted deck?
Will this get rid of the spiders in the pool cage? Or, can I put a bug killer in the plastic thing/ Thank you
Will this work on the screen portion as well as the frames?
Where is the link?
Did the ZEP have any bad effects on pool chemistry?
Even if it did, no problem. Do a quick pool cleaning and chem check, bam, you should be good.
Going to give this a go! Haha, made me laugh, guys not showing up, we all know how that goes..
Always!! Kissimmee people are lazy in general, mostly Northerners.
Northerners are a lot harder working people than they are down here. I had very good workers up in Michigan, moved business to Florida, and I can’t find anyone that wants to work. That is why there are so many migrant workers, Floridians will not work, and I pay well.
@@Niche79 Kissimmee is mostly Puerto Ricans. I had a house there. Had some good workers, some not so good.
Can you put dawn dish soap into Jeb.
Thanks for this. Hope you are ok, since there haven't been any new videos in 3 years.
the instructions for zep says don't use on metals, isn't' the framing metal?
Would foamer work with simple green?
Does it clean the screen?
Do the chemicals effect the chemical balance of pool water?
Here in Cape Coral Florida they damn near spray every single day with their chem trails 🤬🤦♀️🤦♀️
Huge help. Do it yourself, I'm in kissimmee too and they are rip offs, better off finding a guy that drives around and does out of his truck or yourself.
sitting in Kissimmee after having spent two months trying to get my house pressure washed watching this video lol
Great video! What is the full name of the zip cleaner? Is it safe for grass and other plants?
This ZEP cleaner may work well, however, be forewarned that it clearly states in the manufacturer's product information label that it is "Not for use on metal, Formica, painted surfaces, marble, granite, laminate, terrazzo and natural stone". My pool enclosure is painted, made of aluminum (metal) and has a tiled stone floor. Vinegar and water.
I live in Central Florida. I have had 3 companies come out for quotes to clean the screen and the pavers and nobody is yet to give me a quote. I gave up and realize I am going to have to do it myself one weekend on my own.
reco's on reasonable pressure washer?
How do you find the link?
not available in amazon anymore. can you recommend something else.
Hello! I know you mentioned not being worried about the pool water but did you run into any problems after you rinsed off the Zep Cleaner Chemical falling into the pool water? Thank you for your time!
That is what I am wondering. Where does all the runoff gunk go? It must fall all over the grass and deck and pool right? But somehow it is all okay?
Is it so common for contractors to not show? There was another person saying the same thing. Is that a Florida thing? It almost never happens to me here in Oregon. They don't show, they don't get paid, so they usually show.
The link does not work for the foam cannon? I looked for the MATCC and a whole bunch came up. Help if you see this! My pool screen is way smaller than yours but I need help
is this product good for the screens
TRY IT DUDE
The can works great but i been here 2 days and still see stains ugh
did it hurt your grass?
Dumb question but is that dirty moldy foam falling into.the pool?
Hi, I have a similar setup as you, but I have various types of plants inside my pool cage - palm tree, etc. Do you think the Zep is safe to use around those?
I would wet down the plants before spraying and after. Should be fine if you can stay back a little.
What about getting the chemicals in your pool?
Doesn;t all the chemicals and mold drop into the pool?
How do I remove spider webs from high screen section.. pressure washer doesn't work..
Try adding vacuum tube attachments to shop vac. Use as many as you need to reach up high.
FYI, the link to the foam cannon does not work. Thanks for the video, I have been wanting a cannon anyway, now I have more reasons to get one.
Do both side of the screen need to be done?
I saw another video where they recommended soft brushing both sides of the screens before washing the cleaner off. Might be worth doing.
@@anner5111 Yes, both sides need to be done. Ours was terrible but now they are like new.
It doesnt foam up for me!
Do you need to cover the pool in order to do this?
Nah I never covered anything, just like you see in this video.
Somebody else mentioned the water cleaner and debris going in the pool how much time and money did it take to get the pool balance back to where it should be? Thank you
So it did not affect your pool chemical balance??
Well, unfortunately, my results haven't been that great. I went to Lowes to get the items because Amazon was back-ordered for both items. I got an off-brand foam cannon, though it does produce foam, and I got Krud Kutter mold and mildew for siding and aluminum. After foaming for 5-10 minutes I had to switch to my power nozzle to get the green film off. This is the same thing I was doing before so I am not sure this is the right stuff. I also still have these black mildew dots all over the cage that do not come off unless I rub with my finger. I am going to try to order some zep and see if that changes anything. So far $45 without much results. :(
So I used the regular nozzle where I could. I only used the foam cannon for the high up areas. I let it sit there over night usually. I did it 3 times each as I mentioned in the video. Let it sit and work over night after you spray it with the product, don't wash it off with water!!! After 2 or 3 days you get what I have in the video. Definitely try a mix of what works for you, I tried chlorine, bleach and the zep. At this point even if you spend a few more dollars it's still cheaper than you paying someone else to do it:) Don't give up, I would come up and spray it and leave it over night and come do it again the next day and I saw the spars getting whiter each time.
@@Niche79 so you basically sprayed it once a day for 3 days and then did you rinse it off?
Any tips for the screen, same procedure?
@@Mrsboncouer Just do it ! SO many questions
I was just going to use pool chlorine
why dont you cover pool will that work
Been pumping chlorine thru my 4500 psi pressure washer for 20 years never had a problem.
You keep saying, clean it for $22 but if you don't have a pressure washer its $150. +$22 for container +$6 ZEP. You're looking @ almost $200. Can I borrow yours? I live in Tampa
You can buy a decent electric pressure washer for $50 nowadays or find one on Facebook marketplace.
U need to fix hole in ur screen... put a screen patch order it on line
U should have gotten a BLACK SCREEN.. NOT WHITE
Did that one bottle do the whole cage?
I tried some of that chlorine you see in the back behind me before trying the zep. 2 bottles should do what you need but just so you know I mixed and matched before I found what I really liked!
@@Niche79 Thanks for this video, great idea! Did you use Zep only, or add anything else? Thanks
@@Niche79 Duh! I re-read your reply above. Thanks again for the excellent video.
@@Niche79 Perfect. What's your best mix & match recipe with Zep & ?
Did the ZEP or any other chemicals used/mixed damage or kill any plant life around the enclosure?
People are lazy in Kissimmee.........LOL... SO TRUE!!!!
