The Songwriter is one of our favorite guitars here at the shop! The first one we had, I bonded with it so much I purchased it myself. This is a gigging musician's guitar. The Fishman EQ is on the top side of the guitar for easy battery change. It also has a bright tuner that is easy to read in low light conditions. In my opinion this guitar unplugged is where the magic is. This instrument sounds huge! Big and bold with exquisite, and lovely clarity. Not to mention it's loaded with eye candy. someone got taken to the cleaners on that sale..wrong inlays ( standard did not have split parallels), and the Standard had ( beautiful) Maple binding, not plastic. That's a studio for all intents.

Gibson updated the Songwriter line-up several years ago and got rid of Songwriter Deluxe. They then updated the Songwriter Standard to have a bit of all the old versions in it.
