- King Charles has handed over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to Prince William in a ceremony in Hampshire. It comes just two weeks after the King returned to public duties following his cancer diagnosis.

William was a search and rescue pilot for two years and an air ambulance helicopter pilot for three and a half years. He would not be allowed near either of these helicopters if he were not a pilot. Guess what Harry can't. Also William is building houses for the homeless around UK and spending his own money. He had already started this programme in Cornwall. By the way William and Catherine donated £100,000 to help wounded soldiers. How much has Harry given.

The Prince of Wales will be an excellent Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, mainly because he actually holds a rotary wing license and can actually fly a helicopter. Unlike his dipstick of a brother, who failed his helicopter flying test 3 times, so was never a gunner in an Apache.

Feel for this old man today - he is definitely nostalgic and proud of giving his son to go to army and serve in frontline, but what is in his heart cannot come to lips situation! Colonel-in-Chief of a specific regiment is NOT a military title! Just look at the spelling!
And that the name of the regiment is written out!
It's an HONORARY TITLE,
it's a patreonage, it's symbolic, it means that William will be their guardian and hand out medals, attend some celebrations, and keep in touch with them.
William will NOT lead.
It's not a military title (as, for example, Commander in Chief)
A military title stands on its own. It's not connected to a special regiment.
