For me personally I think Fate and Death work hand in hand. Fate decides when you will die whereas Death simply says what method of death you get. Like for instance fate says you have a violent death at 30 years old on Tuesday night 7th of July at 5 PM and then Death takes the term "violent" and gets a few different versions of violent death and simply picks one.

No. She's one of the "Moirai" or "goddess of destiny" (aka the Three Fates) from Greek mythology. Her sister Clotho spun the thread of life (birth), her other sister Lachesis measured the thread (lifespan), and Atropos cut the thread (death).

actually Clotho is the one who starts the thread of life and Lachesis is the one who spins and develops the thread.. she was also the most important because her duty was to count and sum up the number of living people.. Atropos was described as fairly malevolent.. as her two older sisters always had what to work on, she often became bored of waiting.. she developed a bad habit to cut thread of someone´s life before it was truly it´s time. So one time her eldest sister put a spell on a thread of an infant that would notify Hera about it.. Atropos unaware of this tried to cut it and she was punished by olympian gods. For every thread / life Atropos cut/ended her sister were allowed to make 3 new ones. It´s pretty nice legend don´t you think??..

Still, she and her sisters are not so big as Death himself. And Winchesters are even bigger than Death because “they always come back” which indicates Death somehow like them despite saying otherwise
Interesting fact, in regards to her saying that her sisters are bigger than her, in Greco-Roman Mythology Atropos was/is the Eldest of the three Fates and the one who held the shears that were used to cut the Thread of Life.

While Lahkeis should be upset too, but honestly people "change" their fate do much that she's over it. Clotho just makes them. If anything it's more lives to create and monitor

Props to the writers on this show, many gods from our plethora of global religions have featured as guest stars on this show. I grant they were defeated by the plot armour of the boys but the representations were mostly respectful.
Yet another possible villain choice gone down the drain. She said he siblings were powerful and more terrifying then her, but they never get mentioned not introduced ever again.
they're from the greek mythology, the sisters of fate... Kratos killed them all in God of War II, that's why they never showed up. lol. Now on a serious note, they never should have been even mentioned in the series. As cute and amazing as atropos was, she is very out of place here, yes, it was an nice addition, but maybe the writers noticed there'd be f*ck all they could do with the actual sisters of fate and removed them entirely
The siblings are probably just the reaper tho, maybe the same level or higher or at least they were below Death. Hell, even she probably also parts of Death team.
These scene helped me so much during literature test. Big thanks to Supernatural.
I wish they brought back fate and her sister because the way they were doing the series after season 5 bringing back some big heavy hitter especially in the last season too bad we never got to see them in their full potential .

I find it both odd & entertaining that the pagan Gods are almost like an enigma within this series. They're not humans, demons, angels, leviathans or children of Eve. And they also have no connection with Amara. All this series really defines them as are. Gods. And people who eat people and aren't immortal but basically live forever with power over the various forces and aspects of worldly things.
There are always exceptions. Maybe the pagan Gods were once human who became God's using a lost form of magic. In the supernatural universe I bet the Fates were made by Chuck but the Greeks thought they were made by Zeus.
If I had to guess, the pagan gods are just Tulpas. Think about it. Millions of people believe these "Gods" exist. So they begin to exist.

The thing that fascinates me is how they scale on the power level. The pagan gods were pretty dang weak considering how easy they were to wipe out. Yet chronos could time travel, which seems to be quite a difficult thing. So why were the other pagan gods weak while chronos could pull off something only angels could do?
@@justsomeguy-yd3yw Belief in time travel isn't difficult; its a concept that's existed in sci-fi since the medium became popular, so Chronos could have easily shifted the goalposts a little to keep that ability.
Then again, it wouldn't be the first time Supernatural contradicts its own lore.

Not likely. Fate's a stupid idea. Atropos, for example basically writes /constructs the fate of everything -- every human, every god... but does she really? Wouldn't her fate to 'plan' such things already be fated? And to Fate, wouldn't changing the present be just like changing the past?

This is just a filler episode, she's and her sibling clearly can be the employees of Death as the higher up of the Reapers. You know the one who gave all of the list of names and watching the fate if something goes wrong. Such a waste, but hey techically the strongest pagan gods. Since the powers are real, and most of the rest are just a bunch of hungry monster

Ok the Titanic sunk yes. Castiel had Balthazar go back and save it changing the future. But this would have meant that Balthazar would have always been the one to sink the ship as he returned to sink it. So the future they are in now would be the original future planned before beings from the future came back and changed it. And future with the Titanic sinking would be the alerted future. But as it happened because of Temporal Causality Loop this future is one that is now.
And they cut the best scene. Cass stoped her from dying and it was best awkward thing ever.

So much so that they’ve been writing their adventures ever since the end of season five that’s why everyone else around them has been suffering and during more than them and why so many young girls are either thrown on a bus or killed in the most gruesome manner because they don’t want to see any other girl with Sam & Dean so in the series finale (if they’ll ever be one?😒) The Sisters Of Faith could be the next & finale Big Bad!!!!

*I loved this Scene the actors were great, especially Blathazar was such an interesting good actor, that killed of too soon. Balthazar sometimes even steal the show from dean and sam.*

Opening the portal to and consuming the souls of Purgatory was Castiel's Plan B, which he ganked from Raphael and Crowley.
This was his Plan A. He was going to create more events like this, manufacturing more and more souls that shouldn't exist anyway, and then consume them and so become a god.
At the end of the day, this might have been arguably better, as Castiel would have avoided the whole leviathan issue, but whatever.

she is a special type of angel
No it’s unknown what she is. If she is a goddess, angel, etc. But if she is an angel, she wouldn’t use the sisters like only hers to describe the other fates. As all angels are siblings in some way, as being creations of God.
considering the only thing that existed before creation where The darkness, the empty(the sleeping comic entity) and God, wouldn't that make gods, demigods, eve, death and all the other things that existed after that God's creation. Think about it. The darkness was in prison, she couldn't have possible created or destroyed anything. The cosmic entity only wants to sleep and not be disturbed. So the only one who was messing around creation and matter was God, which led us to conclude that everything that exist after that are by his hands even maybe the parallel universes included.
All am saying is their are signs she might be some kind of an angel:
1. if Fate always goes to heaven to take her order, she must be a rare type of angel
2. she said God gave her a job another sign she might be some kind of an angel
3. we know how angels are in the movie, how they don't value any life other than their kind so if she was not an angel i don't think they would have let her do her job all this time.
4. i think its on season 4 or 5 their was a mention that all angels and human souls are the only thing up there.
