I love this. Anna Torv is brilliant as usual in displaying Olivia's inner conflict and vulnerability and "weakness," and Joshua Jackson shines in his subtle but striking response...the unshed tears you can see in Peter's eyes as he once again hears how Olivia's self-doubt from childhood continues to nag at her, and how much he just wants to ease her pain. And the distance still between them in this new future but the reaching out across the gap...so beautiful!
These two just play off each other so well. Another great scene conveying the obvious love and connection Peter and Olivia still feel for each other all while still trying to handle the emotional distance they're going through this season.
I was going to post a similar response but you said it so beautifully here I don't need to. Anna and Josh are just incredible this season. I can't wait to see what other amazing and heartbreaking performances they show us in this final season.
Joshua was great in season 5 but this season was all Anna. She had to carry so much of the emotion this season because Joshua's character was supposed to be colder after they lost their daughter. Olivia displaying the pain of not believing that Peter was right only to find out that he was, she nailed it.
I always hated that they separated after the invasion when they thought they had lost Etta and before they ambered themselves. & it took several episodes before they could reconnect again. Even then it seem disjointed, almost as if something had happened behind the scenes between Jonathan and Anna.
Another great scene carried by AnnaT. Watching the show in hindsight, JoshJ's emotional lines are minimized because he's so bad at it. As one commented earlier, he has one goofy face. Anna is so above his league professionally. Peter/Olivia love story was great because of her. Could have been better with a more talented male actor.

Anna and Josh are just killing it in S5. Polivia are just so subtle and quiet and beautiful this season.

Anna Torv just gets more and more beautiful :)
The soundtrack is freaking perfect.
Oh gosh. I just burst into tears.

You're comments about Peter/Joshua Jackson are totally ridiculous. Jackson is a talented actor. And maybe I like "goofy" faces. He is beautiful.
