How could you not see that?’ ‘She is taking everything’ I never felt the way she feels but i really can understand the dissapointment she has. But the other scene, Peter explains himself the way ever he could best. I love them!
"She's taken everything" That line kind of gutted me because it was the essential truth. And i dont blame Peter. I feel sorry for him as i do feel Olivia's pain. As difficult as this is for her, it cant be easy for him either.
@@TheHouse17 I think she didn’t want to listen to the real truth “Hey I just wanna have sex with someone ok it didn’t mean I don’t love you it’s just difficult for a man to reject a woman who asked you to bang her especially she looked sexier than u .” lol

I think this case just hit close to home for Olivia and made her think about what Peter could have done. It is just a heartbreaking scene but I am sure we will be rewarded at the end of the season.
Everyone seems to have a lot of opinions about this scene; all I can tell you: this scene ripped my heart out. It's just downright sad. Nothing more, nothing less.
The show itself was bit _too_ fringy for me, as in it took too many liberties regarding physical impossibilities and the science on the show was generally piss-poor. That said, that character interaction was top-notch and always very enjoyable to watch, and the acting was really good.
I love this show I started watching it about 3 months ago and I was immediately involved in the story. The cast is extraordinary, all the actors are perfect in their characters. I’m very sorry that it’s over...😞
Anyone else feel that the look on Olivia's face after she said "And I don't want to be with you anymore" was more surprise than anything else? It looked like she hadn't thought that bit out but after she said it she stood by it. Like "Oh geez, I said that out loud, wait, yep, that's what I meant".
I seriously can watch this scene over and over again and each time I feel like crying =( poor Olivia and poor Peter! I really hope they can figure things out because I would love them together
Fun to come back to this after seeing Anna on the last of us. Fringe is probably my favorite TV show of all time because of the broad array of sci Fi it covers but also because each of the main actors/actresses are SO ON POINT. You can feel the pain Olivia is experiencing here yet you can just as easily feel the pain Peter is feeling even though he doesn't say a word once she starts going. The answer is shockingly simple too which is what made this even more powerful - he looked past it all because he loves Olivia so much and wanted to be with her so badly, he let it overwhelm his logical thoughts which is VERY unusual for someone that's lived an entire life by being calculating and objective. Love pushes Peter to behave in a way contrary to what he would normally do and it leaves open the question at this point in the show: will Peter close himself off forever now, or will he try again knowing that it could end in pain like this time?
This scene was heartbreaking for both Olivia and Peter. For him to see the devastating effect that the Altivia has wrought on her life and for them...to confess just how much he mattered even when she thought he was an illusion-Peter did the right thing. He withstood her anger and pain and let her air it, adding to his already huge burden of guilt-because he thinks he deserves it. It would be selfish of him to be emotional right now. Olivia needs time. An I love you would ring false to her now.
This scene was gut-wrenching. It was so sad to see how equally broken both of them are and Peter's "I'm sorry" to an empty garden was just the perfect ending. However, as rough as this scene was I think it's exactly what needed to happen between the two in order for them to be able to fix their relationship so they can really be together, which despite the problems now, they both still obviously want. Olivia needs space and time and eventually she'll come around and realize Peter does love her.
That's not the real problem The real problem is does Olivia love Peter really or does she love her ego I mean think about it she even says you "were a figment of my imagination", no one who love somebody will say that ever.

True or false?
yeah, so amazing that for like the next third of this season when I would see the interviews on Fox's channel I'd feel like "I wish Anna would stop trying so hard to hide her pain with all the smiling..." *10 or so episodes later* "ooh... wait." LOL!
And also to the posters below, this isn't ill intended just stating facts, but Peter did say something at the end; he said I'm sorry. Turn up the volume, you can hear it...
Something that I don't think gets said enough: Peter wasn't fooled because he was dense. He was fooled because he wasn't looking. Olivia's position is that he should have known the second he looked in Alt-Liv's eyes, but Fauxlivia wasn't an unsuspecting Twin, she was an undercover agent. You think she didn't have reasonable answers ready whenever someone raised a question?
@darkntwisty05 I agree that Peter cares and I think the distant look is more because he's sitting there watch his world fall apart while he had been hanging on to hope all episode that maybe things might just turn out OK. And like you said Peter feels extremely guilty, basically everything Olivia says to him Peter has already been blaming himself for, he feels exactly the same way she does. So if he blames himself for everything, why would he try to come up with a response?
He tried so hard to believe that the experience in the other universe changed her for the better that he chose to ignore all the signs. I understand him, and i don't say it's his fault, but i understand Olivia as well. She was trapped in the other universe being brainwashed and supervized, experimented on then imprisoned, and the people she knew cared about her didn't notice a difference. No matter how good of an act the other Olivia put, not being distinguished like that hurts, especially be the people you love and love you back. Her choosing not to be with him right away makes sense. It's anger towards the other Olivia, and mostly disappointment towards Peter, and she did try to be understanding too, but her life and identity were stolen from her and everything around is a reminder of that fact
@MayBrainLee1 I don't want Peter to be perfect. I think this was an awesome scene and very in character for both of them, I just think that it's going to be interesting and I really want to know what this is going to do to Peter and Walter's relationship; and there is my earlier comment about why Peter and everyone else bothers me a little!
@FawnCC I think it was just a trick from the writers in order to bother us, because at that time there was still a doubt about the fact that Peter knew or not, but now it"s clear he really didn't know.
Well part of it is that she's like hyper-preceptive from Cortexiphan, I think it went past her that maybe some people don't have these visions and such even if they've been literally "brainwashed" into thinking you're someone else. lol. In a lot of ways I've always related to Olivia's character most on this show. I was put on psych meds when I was 8, which led to a lot of unintended consequences and resentment, distrust etc. And when someone I thought knew me, really doesn't, I feel very hurt.
@FabsieKaa I think Peter seems to care immensely, he's just not on his knees bawling and Olivia doesn't do that either. Sure she's more outwardly emotional than he is in this scene but she's still pretty reserved for what happened. I think he did what he was supposed to. She doesn't want to hear what he has to say right now so he gave her space and just let her rant. Eventually though I do think he's going to have to express his feelings, it just wasn't the right time then.
Peter and Olivia are not very fast at doing it, it took them two years to share a little softy baby kiss, and when one of them finally wants to do it, he takes the wrong person ! In some ways Fringe could be a comedy ! lol
@FabsieKaa He should've said something - yep, true, but I guess he's scared. He doesn't wanna hurt her even more. IDK. Like, who am I to judge? All I know is that they belong together, they both know that too, they just need to get through all this mess.
Well atleast after the timeline changed...this scene never happened it would have remained as a memory for both peter and Olivia but didn't happen in real in the alternate or final timeline 😂
This is the one issue I have with the alternate Olivia: even with all the dimension timeline differences , an Olivia over there would have some core behavioral aspects to the Olivia here. Alternate Olivia would, despite her mission and explicit orders, find remorse and regret doing what she was doing. The whole theme of the series is regret and repentance. If Walter can feel remorse for the things he did, even before the lobotomy and working with Fringe Division, why would Pholivia, Walternate, and the others take sadistic joy in their espionage missions like moustache-twirling villains? The fact is Pholivia is nothing like her counterpart, and doesn’t deserve to live. Olivia should’ve put a bullet in her doppelgänger’s head the instant they crossed paths again, because it’s not the corrupt politicians or the generals that issue the orders to commit war crimes who are at fault, but the soldiers who do not exercise their oath to disobey blatantly illegal orders.
@darkntwisty05 I couldnt tell either! Even after showing Olivia imprisoned in the alternate universe, i was like ''Why is Alterlivia imprisoned by Walternate?'' lol that's how stupid I am x)
@darkntwisty05 Do you remember in the season 2 finale, when Olivia kisses Peter, for the first time. He has this quite cold attitude, even keeping his left hand in his pocket, like he thought, oh really, yes why not, whatever... But he comes back for her, he clearly doesn't like to show his feelings, But now in this messy situation he should have said what Olivia needs to hear somthing like I love You.
@MayBrainLee1 you forgot about the kiss over ther in season 2 finale, there was something starting between them , that's why Peter started to date Bolivia. On onother hand I'm not a great fan of fairy tales either, but I don't think saying I love you or make your beloved understand your real feelings is a stupid thing to do.
@FabsieKaa It'd be out of character for Peter to be hugely demonstrative after Olivia's outpouring. At this point, there really is nothing he can do or say because this rift, this violation of Olivia's life, has happened. They can only move forward. Emotional outbursts would be pointless, unless they've cathartic purposes, like Olivia's. Secondly, Peter's emotions right now are not the violent ones, like anger. They're the weighted, incredibly personal emotions of guilt, grief, self-loathing.
I suppose the show runners asked Josh not to be too emotional, but for me it doesn't fit with the situation. The writers don't want Peter and Olivia to be together yet that's all. I hope they delay it because they are gioing to explore the human dimension of every caracter, and then we will get that little family back, and P & O united, so they can find a way to avoid our world to be swallowed by Waleternate's machine.
@MayBrainLee1 if that's what they want, then they should go watch something like Grey's Anatomy or whatever the rest of America is Soma-ed on right now.
It's horrible how Peter doesn't seem to care, he just says I'm sorry, I'm sorry, if he loved her he should be devastated and play it more emotional, he is cold, He shouldn't be able not to cuddle her or cry is he really loved her, I'm really desapointed, I think that Olivia should try to move on and find another guy very quickly.
I hope that Olivia will move on, and find another apartment, because Bolivia slept in her bed, and remember she killed someone in the kitchen, too mch bad vibes there isn't it ?
The way they wrote Olivia in this scene and the following episodes concerning this subject always pissed me off and made me dislike her for the first time in the show. She was so selfish and cruel during this time towards Peter even though he was also a victim. Peter was basically raped by an enemy for months, violated in the worst way and all Olivia can see is herself. It was terrible writing for her.

@@TheHouse17 You're delusional. There's a time and place for everything. This was Olivia's time. She needed to vent. He gets his time too.
@@BlueDauntless How sway! At best a little troubled, but it's not about me it's about Peter and if Olivia honestly cared for Peter, at all in my opinion she does not that’s why they had to reboot the series after this season because they messed up and wanted the fans to Forget about this horrible plot in The writing because no one likes what happened to Peter.
Yeah the I'm sorry is just what did it for me. Like you just heard his whole heart in that 😖
i love this scene. poor peter and liv, everytime they get together something happens. now its because of the stupid observers.
I think Peter had wanted to be with Olivia for so long, he was willing to overlook a few things just to be with her.
It is kinda stupid that no one realised that olivia was acting different
oscar to both
Peter can't catch a break
I'm cry
@darkntwisty05 I agree that Peter cares and I think the distant look is more because he's sitting there watch his world fall apart while he had been hanging on to hope all episode that maybe things might just turn out OK. And like you said Peter feels extremely guilty, basically everything Olivia says to him Peter has already been blaming himself for, he feels exactly the same way she does. So if he blames himself for everything, why would he try to come up with a response?
What’d you want him to do OLIVIA lol check if she was a shapeshifter? Ask her a bunch of security questions 😂
i feel so sorry for them both right now :(
He tried so hard to believe that the experience in the other universe changed her for the better that he chose to ignore all the signs.
Gut wrenching.
Do it again,
@FawnCC I think it was just a trick from the writers in order to bother us, because at that time there was still a doubt about the fact that Peter knew or not, but now it"s clear he really didn't know.
Own it
Anyone know this song's name?
Peter and Olivia are not very fast at doing it, it took them two years to share a little softy baby kiss, and when one of them finally wants to do it, he takes the wrong person ! In some ways Fringe could be a comedy ! lol
@FabsieKaa He should've said something - yep, true, but I guess he's scared. He doesn't wanna hurt her even more. IDK. Like, who am I to judge? All I know is that they belong together, they both know that too, they just need to get through all this mess.
Who's rollin
@dpilz28 so why is it so hard for some people to realize this is in character and necessary?
@darkntwisty05 I couldnt tell either! Even after showing Olivia imprisoned in the alternate universe, i was like ''Why is Alterlivia imprisoned by Walternate?'' lol that's how stupid I am x)
Point in fact. She was you! Right down to the D.N.A.
Olivia is the crazy one being jealous of herself!😢😮😅
@huh8888 I wish I knew, unfortunately, I have no idea.

@FabsieKaa I disagree with that comment
I personally think he regrets it and feels sad

It's horrible how Peter doesn't seem to care, he just says I'm sorry, I'm sorry, if he loved her he should be devastated and play it more emotional, he is cold, He shouldn't be able not to cuddle her or cry is he really loved her, I'm really desapointed, I think that Olivia should try to move on and find another guy very quickly.
I hope that Olivia will move on, and find another apartment, because Bolivia slept in her bed, and remember she killed someone in the kitchen, too mch bad vibes there isn't it ?
She gets the worst of anyone.

I really hated that they did this to their story line.
