In the early 20th century Charles Kettering, founder of the Dayton Electric Company or Delco would design the electric starting system for Cadillac. He along with other form the Flxble Sidecar for motorcycles. As the name denotes the Flxble was flexible or it leaned with the paired motorcycle. Flxble Sidecar would later get out of producing leaning sidecars and begin to produce buses for urban transit systems.
Wonderful video and a great looking rig. Thanks for posting.

I owned an EquaLean side car in the 80's. It leaned with the bike and it handled okey in mild twisties. Problem was any time going into a right sharp turn, at a good rate of speed, I could only lay the bike over 35 degrees. Anything beyond that the bike was stopped when it came in contact with the side car. This caused everything to straighten up sending me across the road and into the gravel. Thankfully, there were no oncoming traffic.
I would have liked to see this demonstration taken further when the driver rubbed his knee on the sidecar at a higher speed. Too many flaws! Ridge mounted sidecars are much safer, just a different ride.

The problem with riding these on the road in my opinion is that aside from strange steering the left turns are very dangerous because of something completely different: Leaning to the left the whole thing becomes wider than a car and you have to drive with your body very close to the traffic coming towards you. On small roads I have met enough people cutting into my lane that I feel like this is a death trap. Depending on the road it is impossible to not cross the middle line with your body. It is really sad because I would have loved to try this with my wife and son but... I don't think I have the balls.

The front link mounts higher on the motorcycle, when leaning it moves farther.

He should modify the sidecar mountings, a little bit forward. Because if it pulls when leaning, the side tires are not parallel with the bikes rear tire. Or if its indeed parallel, it should be with the same tire specs.

Would a third link as an angled hydraulic mid-point telescopic tubular link, at say, 60 degrees from the sidecar up to the bike, stabilize it more, and get it passed as a 3 point linkage for general use.? It seems a great idea to get rid of the heavy steering problem without any trail reduction via leading link or legs.

request for you if you still have access 4 years later? Do lap times on a track on same model bike and then same model with this side car....perhaps even the bike without side car is loaded with weight to make it more fair? I just want an idea how well it REALLY works! Ehh?

Nowhere. It's a very-very unique construction, which is built until real perfection by a Hungarian man. But I can give you his contact and I'm sure he will help in everything.

Massimo Longhi I think the guy is Hungarian , not Italian.
The owner of the motorcycle is Csaby which is a diminutive for Csaba. Hungarian name .

Doesn't this guy have riding with a sidecar experience?
Because it is not a natural feeling at any design.
A sidecar is a thing that has to be handled not an advantage to riding, other than giving you more carrying space.
An inexperienced rider is not going to just get on and ride.
