- Singapore 2100 is WOHA‘s vision of a resilient, sustainable future city where humans and nature can co-exist in regenerative, self-sufficient circular systems. today, our planet faces horrible human and natural disasters, that will increase as the impact of climate change heightens. however, this video by WOHA reminds us that there is still hope for human-kind to change the climate path, as long as they act rapidly - the UN climate report showed that immediate crucial, extensive emission reductions, could limit the warming after 2050.
As the planet faces an abnormal human-made crisis, the design of singapore 2100 proposes urgent actions; ways to change our existing cities, and mobility infrastructure based on plans, innovations, and technologies that are already available.
‘singapore will be a liveable, sustainable, and resilient city of the 22nd century,’ as is mentioned in the video. it will be a place covered by more lush and greenery, that welcomes humans and other living beings. this vision will offer a high quality of life, fostering wellness and a vibrant lifestyle. singapore city serves as a model that shows how people can combine circular systems into cities, benefiting humans, the hardscape, and nature.
Oh I can’t wait for this to become a reality!!!

Practically & Fantasy.
For Singapore, I see :
1. Due to space constrain high rise will be 50 storey or higher, closely knitted with interlocking landscapes at mid height of the blocks.
2. More land will be reclaimed.
3. Many new luxurious condos & complex will ‘take roots’ at the ‘long Island’ reclaimed land.
4. Singapore will be self sustaining in water supply due to new land & reservoirs created and by new water technologies capabilities. That goes with food supply too.
5. War, if any will be controlled by advanced AI, not military hardwares.
6. Flying cars in the sky? Hmm..don’t see this happening as a priority.
Every city in the world is on the road to do that and all these tools and the design have become a general layman terms and even biopfylic , renewable , etc is just one of the tools which is being used and is focused only on the enviroment aspecs . May i know what's the most important aspect of the vision and why this makes it special?

Singapore 🇸🇬 now are already a garden city. But still not enough. We still need to have more nature n learn how to live with wildlife together. Without those wildlife there are lifeless.. 🐿️🐇🐓🐔🦜🦉🐗🦆🦅🦇🦔🐒🐕🐈

Nothing will ever happen if Singapore had that mindset. Even if they don’t accomplish all of this they will be light years ahead of the US by then

There is very little freedom of speech, assembly, association or the press. They are a police state. Indeed they are so barbaric they still use the death penalty and canning - things that are relics of the dark ages. .

This is quite the ambitious idea
It's very paradisiatic concept of the way a future city must work. But, what about those people not prepare to understand and move ahead in a kind of cities to ahead for them. What about work, school, and warranties of no criminals dwelling our cities. Who will supply our needs.
2100 I m dead...but a future of sg imagined of flying taxis.. cars u carry ard in a suitcase, getting 2 your flat needs a flat lift...food is obsolete a pill a day, limbs can b replaced like a pair of old shoes n humans live forever... wars r old fashioned... n all lived to be 500 years.

Old building demolished gradually and replaced by new innovative one. It’s a practice now. Some are preserved.

There are some good ideas here, and while the rendering does not quite accord with the story you are telling, it is so important to activate the public imagination in order to stimulate possibilities. Science fiction has a way of becoming science fact, so why not urban development fiction?
