Jennifer, I loved this video. It really answered so many question I have about sublimating tumblers. I live in a tiny apartment built into my daughter’s house. I think a tumbler press might work best for me. Is there one of those you can recommend? An automatic press might work best because I have Multiple Sclerosis which can cause weakness and pain in my hands.
I went back in the video and did see what was done. As long as the temperature and time is correct it shop work. You can ask in the group to see what others do. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
The Hamilton Beach oven didn't work out for me. All of my mugs ended up with burn spots or the shrink wrap melting and fusing to the tumbles, and I'm using using the oven thermometer to make sure the temp is correct.
I ordered the same oven shae linked to her page and I’ve burned two tumblers. I’ve followed her instructions to a T and the I lowered the temp. Im wondering what the issue is. Super frustrating.
You need several things for sublimation unless you use Cricut Infusible Ink which is a great place to try sublimation without the expensive price tag of purchasing a printer, ink and paper. Here are some informational tutorials. jennifermaker.com/cricut-infusible-ink/ jennifermaker.com/cricut-infusible-ink-need-get-started/ jennifermaker.com/do-you-need-a-sublimation-printer/ jennifermaker.com/sublimation-for-beginners/
Thank you so much. I just love watching your videos and crafting with you. I will never turn to anyone else. Thank you again Love you so much Judy Vinson-Kienle
It's generally not recommended to stand tumblers up in the sublimation oven. Laying them on their side allows for more even heat distribution, which is crucial for a successful sublimation process. By placing the tumbler on its side and giving it a quarter turn every minute and a half, you ensure that the heat is evenly applied, preventing any uneven sublimation or potential damage to the design.
Hi Jennifer, love you channel! Might be a weird question, but does it matter which cook function the convection oven is in when I use it? Thank you for your videos, always instructive and helpful! 😊
It doesn't specify a particular cook function for the convection oven when using it for sublimation as long as the oven reaches the required temperature.
Hi Jennifer, what shrink wrap sleeves do you suggest? I've had such a hard time finding ones that either get tight enough or don't melt in the sublimation oven. Do you have any guides for using the sleeves on a mug as well? Thanks for all your amazing resources.
Hey @Jennifer amazing video and thank you so much - you mentioned the PYD is the regular size however on amazon it says 25L or 40L. Do you know which one you are showing in the video please ?
Hi there! I didn't see where it showed a 40L but the one I used is the 25L and here is my affiliate link for that one, www.amazon.com/shop/jennifer.maker/list/3GD7I45XYMRU7?linkCode=spc&tag=jennifermakersupplylist-20
Yes, you should use shrink wrap when using a sublimation oven to sublimate a plate or slate. Shrink wrap applies pressure to the outside of the item during the sublimation process, which helps ensure even pressure and minimizes the risk of ghosting.
I love how you are so organized and know how to answer our questions quickly and tell us exactly where we can find the tutorial
Love these tumblers! Have been fearful of sublimation but you show how easy it can be! Colette
Thanks so much 😊

Hello ,Jennifer. From Vancouver island, Canada
These coasters are adorable!
I’m so amazingly impressed that you can run your business and put a pause to care for your Alexa

Thank you for showing is the ovens. I like the big blue one.😀😀
Thanks for watching!
For the Hamilton beach, did you out the setting on bake or air fry. I wasnt sure jf the air fry setting was needed to circulate the air.

They really came out cute, had to leave before the reveal. Love being able to catch replay to see the final project.
i love your detail and knowledge always; GOAT
Thanks so much!
Love all of them tumors and coasters. Can you do this on glass tumors and do them in an oven vs these machines that you used?
Do you mean tumblers? Yes you can use any sublimation blank. 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker yes I meant tumblers :)
Never knew about all of the things that you can make with a cricut and more 😅❤
Steering wheel sun shades
Hi Jennifer! For the Hamilton Beach oven for the middle button do you put it on bake, broil, or air fry?
Try air fryer setting.
Thank you! Loved the video! Can I use any brand convection oven for sublimation?
Yes you can!
@@JenniferMaker Thank you. I ordered one yesterday. Hopefully it works well.

Jennifer, are you against the tumbler presses?
No, not at all.
Hi! I noticed that you did not stand any of them up. Do you prefer that or is it not recommended? Thanks!

Can you use an airfryer for sublimation (bake setting)
This was very helpful! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Can you use any ink Jet printer so long as you use sublimation ink? Or is it a specific printer, too?
Take a look at my blog post for more information on Sublimation, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-for-beginners/
Hi Jennifer, what shrink wrap sleeves do you suggest? I've had such a hard time finding ones that either get tight enough or don't melt in the sublimation oven. Do you have any guides for using the sleeves on a mug as well? Thanks for all your amazing resources.
It would depend on the size of your tumbler. These are the ones we used for these tumblers. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
What about mugs, do you have to rotate as well?
There are many thoughts and techniques on this but I feel like most find rotating half way through works nicely!
@@JenniferMaker okay thank you, your the best 😊

@@JenniferMaker Thank you so much hun ! Maybe I'ts a new thing in the UK only for 40L.
Very informative. Thank you
Is this method less expensive than just using a press, or is it the advantage of doing more than one at a time worth the extra steps and materials?
it depends on what you are making and preferences🥰
Do you have to buy two printers, one just a printer white just prints documents and the other which us just submission printer?
Yes, you would need a specific printer just for sublimation printing
If I were doing a plate or slate, do I need to put it in shrink wrap too?
Yes, you should use shrink wrap when using a sublimation oven to sublimate a plate or slate. Shrink wrap applies pressure to the outside of the item during the sublimation process, which helps ensure even pressure and minimizes the risk of ghosting.
Your a hoot, lol
can we use sublimation oven to cook food? like the blue one?
It's just a convection oven, so you could, but not if you'd used it for crafting previously. 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker thanks for letting me know....🙏
Great video. Thank you!!
My pleasure!
Why do you need to rotate the tumblers when convention oven fan circulates the hot air?
Once I get back to work I’ll be getting an oven!!!!lol
Can’t wait to do some
How do you use the shrink wrap on mugs?
We show you how here jennifermaker.com/how-to-sublimate-mugs 😊🌻
Can we use regular clear shrink wrap, or does it have to be the white thicker subl. wrap??
You will want to use wraps made for sublimation like the ones linked in my tutorial, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-tumblers/
I have your sublimation cookbook. It has been very helpful to me. ❤
how about the tumblers with the handles?
You can use them in the oven.
Is there a sublimation oven that the tumblers could stand up?
Yes, you can get the larger ovens.
What size oven should be used for 40l tumblers?
It depends on if you want to make multiple tumblers at the same time. ruclips.net/video/Gnoafklgglo/видео.html
My oven had bake and boil. Do we bake it or broil?
You need a convection oven🥰
I love your videos!!!!
Thank you!
I am new

Does anyone know if a toaster oven can be used? The one I saw has a bake option and goes to 450°
It was the Hamilton Beach easy reach 6 slice
I have seen a tutorial on it when I googled it.
Do you mirror all sublimation designs?
yes🥰
Great info! Just a small FYI... the Oster brand is pronounced with a long "o" sound, so it is "oh-ster" and not "ah-ster."
What gloves do you use?
Man I should have gotten an oven instead of the press ..
The press is good for shirts and all kinds of blanks.
OOO ster oven
