      '...Propogation: Sound waves are longitudinal, meaning that the vibrations occur parallel to the direction of propogation (travel). Electromagnetic waves are transverse, meaning that the vibrations occur perpendicular to the direction of propogation.Medium: Sound waves are physical, so the oscillations are formed from vibrating solid liquid or gas, so require a medium to travel through. Electromagnetic waves cause oscillations in electric and magnetic fields, so do not require a medium.Speed: Sound waves travel at about 300 m/s (but is dependent on the medium) , whereas Electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light, i.e. around 300,000,000 m/s...'

      @@LordTechPro It's truly monstrous - I only use it for backcountry pursuits such as climbing/hiking/canoeing. As a result it generally sits on a side table near a window as some bizarre techy-looking ornament. On wrist, it's amazingly light and comfortable despite the gargantuan size, and I was surprised by how easily I forget that I'm wearing it. The functions are cool in theory but the only only one I have actually used to any effect is the altimeter. It was a purpose-driven purchase, and with that in mind I am very pleased! Thanks again for your channel and helpful content.

    I stay in Tokyo or Manila, which both receive radio signals but syncing isn't as consistent as with G-Shocks with bluetooth. Sometimes the watch doesn't receive the for months.
    I wish there is a way to automatically do the syncing of my Multiband-6 watches at night with the app as I own several G-Shocks with Multiband-6. Even if I try to automate running the app at a specific time, the phone has to be near the watches. Plus the sound could be annoying at night😂

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  Год назад +1

      That's interesting, I am not sure how radio waves of MultiBand 6 are replicated using the phone's speakers but I am almost sure the sound is just to make it sound cool and the real signals being transmitted to the watches are at a frequency which is either above or below the traditional frequency range of the human ear. Newer G-SHOCKs have Bluetooth too which means your watch can sync to your phone automatically.

    You don't need to change the time zone on the phone , only the timezone on watch need to change to Tokyo to use this app then once completed reset your timzone.

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  Год назад

      If the timezone on your phone and the timezone on the watch don't match your World Time will be out of sync. Sure you need not change the timezone on the phone, but now your watch is showing the correct time, but for the wrong time zone (provided you are not in Tokyo, Japan).

      @LordTechPro I use the app to use the Japan frequncy tower.
      I see the watch the Japan.
      The watch syncs with app perfectly after about 5 mins to japan time.
      Then set watch back to Sydney and the time is spot on.

    • @Carl-Camera
      @Carl-Camera 6 месяцев назад

      You do otherwise TYO timezone will be synced to local (SYD) time. You can leave it sure but then all your other world time zones will be out.

    I just tried this with my iP13P and GW-A1100-1ADR but can't get it to work... is there a particular position that I need to be aware of ? Or just bring the speakers closer to the 12 o'clock ? I've also already maxed out the volume too. But I did miss the part where you have to select the tower based on your home city... mine's HKG but set the tower to JPN/Fukuoka... will try again later.

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  3 года назад +2

      Yes! That is the whole point of this video. Follow the steps which I have mentioned in the video. First download any Radio Wave Time Synchronisation app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, then just change the home city on both your watch and your phone to one which is in the coverage area (for example: Tokyo). Then you can sync the time on your phone with the time on your watch, forth which simply change the home city back to the one your time zone utilises. This will update all time and date settings on your Multi Band 6 enabled Casio watch.

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  3 года назад +2

      G-SHOCKs aren't silly, you need to select the proper watch home city city and phone base station, because it replicates the communication between a real atomic base station and the watch. If you don't sync the home city on the watch and your phone, it obviously will not work

    • @TheSamuraiRonin
      @TheSamuraiRonin 3 года назад +1

      @@LordTechPro for not enabling sync on all cities. But few only. Manual sync should be, well, manual.

    • @LordTechPro
      @LordTechPro  3 года назад +1

      @@TheSamuraiRonin You can conduct manual syncs, just head over to the R/C mode and conduct a manual time sync. Some G-SHOCKs such as the GW-A1100 (the full analogue Gravitymaster in this video) have a single button manual time sync option. The reason for not allowing manual sync on all cities is because there are only 5 Multi Band 6 or Atomic Radio Wave Time Sync Stations in the world, and each of them utilise slightly or vastly different means of communication with Atomic timepieces. So for example, if you set your G-SHOCK's home city to Tokyo it will only listen for the 2 JJY Atomic Radio Wave towers, this process uses less battery and is quicker because the watch does not have to switch modes or listen for each and every Atomic Radio Wave base station. This also prevents the watch from getting confused, because depending on where you live, if there is clear weather and minimal obstruction between you and the path to 2 towers from different time zones (which is very likely if you live in Japan), the watch could receive time and date information from a different time zone. Therefore, "true" manual sync cannot (and should not) be enabled because it needlessly complicates the procedure and can lead to the wrong time and date being synced with your G-SHOCK
