There's plenty players on the books who, surely, can't or shouldn't be part of our future plans as much as minteh is. Miggy, wilson, targett, dubravka, lascelles, even Anderson. Selling just a few of these should get us back within PSR limits and get a fair chunk of wages off the books as well.
If these rumours are true, then we are no better than when Ashley owned us.
I'd be seriously miffed if he let minteh go, he's the type of player who could become world class brought on by a manager like Eddie

Totally agree with you Chris show’s no ambition, they said they want to win very thing, not signing players like this they’ll not, and selling our best prospect. If Minteh is playing for the likes of Real Madrid in a couple of seasons time Newcastle will be kicking themselves in the bollocks. Must do better Newcastle.

I think DCL is a very good player, can score goals, hold the ball up, play people in, good first touch. The injury record is a concern but there was a hint that some of his absences at Everton may have been due to the pressure of being the only one who could score the goals for them to avoid the drop. At NUFC, I think Eddie would just say to him, go out and enjoy your football as Izak is the main man for the goals (and others chip in also). I'm more concerned about Minteh possibly being sold. . He could be anything. He should either be spending another year on loan or coming back to us to be drip fed into our right wing.
It looks to me that all the clubs in bother with FFP are trading with each other to balance the books for the end of the month

Surely all of us ''armchair managers'' can't be wrong. Look at what Lewis Miley has done for the club at 17 then tell me Minteh can't do the same. Nothing against DCL other than his fitness record but I hope he doesn't sign for us and Luke Edwards scouts out more remote fish and chip shops.

I would hate to see us sell Minteh, but if we do, don't sell him to another PL side and have the move come back to bite us in the ass.
One way or another, we need to sign another striker imo.The club has done good business, Isak, Bruno, Botman were great signings and all absolute bargains really. Fingers crossed this one falls through and they wait for a better option.

Is there any way to stop this transfer? Perhaps a fan petition ro keep Minteh & leave DCL at Everton.. It's purely a deal being done just because he's available & it's easy to negotiate, while we have no director of football.
That's half the problem, imo. We have Andy & eddie Howe at the realm, with no S.D. They both still have modest aspiration with a Bournemouth mentality....

Agree chris , very uninspiring links. Calvert lewin is a howe signing all the way , too much about about premiership experience, anderson as part deal for kilman.what is going on. Should be offering lingstaff or almiron if want to offer players in part deals . Need right wingers and have a potential quality but looking at selling before he kicks a ball for us. Not a good look to attracting young players to Newcastle. 2 young players in minteh amd anderson xould be offloaded for calbert lewin and kilman. Have we gone back to ashley
If the club sells minteh I will be properly pissed off. If we have PSR problems then sell Bruno which will open up avenues to rebuild but don't sell players that extend your window.

The five year plan looking in absolute tatters. Massively massivley unimpressed with the players we are getting linked with. I mean realistically linked with, i never thought for 1 minute we would get olise. It seems to me we cant attract the players we want. Whether that be wages or just location i dont know but you almost know when we are linked if its true as to whether the are english or not. This is the reason why we will lose your brunos and isaks, they signed upto an exciting project and its been railroaded by ffp. They will stay next season im sure but theyll be off sharpish unless we start signing players on theyre level.

Eddie has fancied him ever since he got here, he hasn’t done much wrong in the transfer front, I think that it’s a strange one, however, if Eddie can work his magic, I have seen DCL being unplayable, it would give us a plan B also if we are chasing a game! If Eddie wants him I am all in. I agree Chris that it’s bullshit we have to do these deals before the end of the month, but it’s the same for all of us that are not in the cartel so we must craic on like it or not

@EverMoreNUFC ha, I know I know, but just being realistic, this is probably the level we're at at the minute. No europe, just finished 7th, and we're not yet one of the TOP top clubs in the league.
Get the feeling we know we're losing Wilson, Calvert-lewin shouldn't be too unreasonable price-wise, and will do a job for a season or two. He caused us problems at SJP this season.
Just have to trust we have done our thorough research into his medical issues, otherwise yes, if we sign him and he spends most of the season injured, we only have ourselves to blame.

DCL is not a consistent player. Too injury prone. Minteh showed his potential last season and we should nurture him for the future. If he goes to another PL club you know what will happen? In a cup final or last game of a future season, he will score against us and we won’t win the cup or the league. Shortsighted decisions like this always bite us.
From what I have read Eddie doesn’t want Minteh to go but the hierarchy have overruled him. PSR demands it. The PL and UEFA are doing more to destroy football than any overspending owners ever did. If a clubs owners can fund it, they should be allowed to spend what they want. These rules suck.

I think if he stays fit, he'll be a quality second striker (granted its a big if). Under Ancelotti he did very well and I think Howe will do very well with him. As for Minteh, i'm gutted but its how the shite rules go. Hopefully we have some clauses in the deal to get as much value as we can. Max Kilman is a nothing deal hopefully. We arent in Europe and the one thing we needed to cope last season was to build a solid squad. I think we are clearly going to go all out on a RCB and a RW after getting Calvert Lewin and Trafford and if we do, thats a solid window for a club not in Europe. Great video as always buddy!
