It is definitely a balance to not draw attention to yourself but also speak loud enough for the camera to hear (😂). Being courteous & conscious of others is important. 🙏Thanks for watching! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it. The Moesgaard Museum was definitely my favorite part of this trip! So much to learn there. Hope you make it yourself soon. Thanks for watching! 🙂
"Den gamle by" (the old city) is not only buildings from Aarhus, but all over Denmark. Medieval houses has been demolished and rebuilt in the open air museum.
Food is one of the best reasons to travel! But yes, Europe had a big immigrant or immigrant descendant population which makes for quite a taste range of food. Like, Indian food is actually quite good in Berlin for example.
Looking west from the top of the old castle ruin you can not see the ocean in the far distance. Now try to imagine it during strong winds from the west and the sea water drowning the whole flat area in 6 meters of salt water. This is what happened in Ribe in 1634, and that is why this old town is so preserved. Almost every building was torn down and rebuild. So the old buildings of Ribe was of better quality than in other old towns, and of a similar "quality" and age. The small population in the city and the area meant there was never a need for modernizing and anting people into little hives of concreete dispair.
Oh wow. My quick research did not reveal this. That is a fascinating bit of History. You can tell the town center has been modernized a bit to look pretty, but it feels like taking a time machine into the past. Beautiful city!! Thank you for sharing that. 🙏😃 Hope you enjoyed the video
It's a shame you didn't have time to visit Hex! The witch hunts were a huge part of Ribe's history and the old town is full of magic sigils carved by the locals in times past, there's even some in the church. If you ever come by Ribe again I can definetly recommend it! They even hand out little audio devices that can scan the items in the museum and tell you about them in Danish or English.
That sounds fascinating! I was really bummed we missed the chance. Sounds like I should make returning a priority. I love history like that. Thank you for sharing and watching :)
That is a good question. I actually flew to Paris and travelled around Europe by train. But Google maps told me Ribe & Aarhus are both bout a 3 hour drive from Copenhagen Airport or a 3-5 train ride (Aarhus was 3, Ribe was 5). Trains are a very good way of getting around Europe!
i really like that you keep your voice down to not disturb others. meny turist dont think about that and are very loud.

This is true! I do remember reading that. I apologize for the misrepresentation. It was a fun stop to travel back in time!
I love how each place you go to just has a crazy range of cuisine

Awesome video! Brought back lots of mission memories.
Glad I did it justice! Ha

Ribe Slotsbanke was where my wife and I first kissed.
Not a bad spot! Hope this brought back fond memories.
