26:29 I feel the same way when I sleep in and it's comforting to know I'm not alone lol. I looked at your trip itinerary and saw that you'll get to see red colobus monkeys, how fun!!! My tropical ecology class in college focused our conservation projects around red colobus monkeys and then we got to go to Gambia to see them!!! They're so cute!!!
You should try Into the Drowning Deep if you want to try another horror. It's a science fiction horror about killer mermaids. Or try Darcy Coates who writes cozy horror. Love your videos as always Becca. 😸
I agree with your sleep-in thoughts. I hate sleeping in, even if it's just until 9am. By the time I'm out of bed and functioning, it's 9.30. And then the day may as well be done. Yes I hate waking up to an alarm but when I do and I'm functioning by 7.30 it's a great day
Guys I think we will get a shelve it or scrap it video soon, but I cant be sure 🤭🤭🤭 teasing aside, loved the vlog! My heart went through when that bedroom lamp was hit AGAIN 🤣🤣 Ive always been on the fence about grimdark but I really want to read Joe Abercrombie because of your 'a little hatred' throughts 🥰
I also tough Betty was Etain's girl (for knock nock, open wide). I think it is wanted, but the synopsis does name Ashling as Etain's daughter. I just finished the book, 4 stars for me! Actually the only horror that scared me at the end.
... watching this I realize ... my own anxiousness ... oooooohhhhh now it makes sense... Joe Abercrombie is someone I want to read, but I think Christopher Ruocchio's Empire of Silence will be first. That means I might very well decide to dive into the entire Sun Eater series if I love it...
If you’re religious (like me) take some oil, pray over it and anoint the edges of the mirror. I haven’t had a night terror since. The upkeep is like once every six months or when you feel like you need to do it.
Heyo Becca! Did I miss an update on Grace and Honey’s website? I usually check every month or so for new stock and it’s showing the website domain is down
Hey I’ve got a question. Would someone (me) who hasn’t really read a lot of dark books but has watched some dark tv shows (can list them if you want) would I like The First law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie? It sounds good but I’ve never read a grimdark book before. Also is there any spice in it?
Dark humor, I would consider it a book without spice. Give The Blade Itself a chance and see how you feel. I went into it not knowing anything and fell in love with the characters. There is an intimate scene between two characters at one point but it's a bit sloppy which made it relatable because it wasn't the typical romance scene where the stars align and two souls become one lol.
When your mirror came in and you were trying to figure out to get it up the stairs all I can think was PIVOT from Friends 😅

I saw the sleeping Giants book as your video pic, and ran to read it last night. 10/10 and bought book 2 and 3 immediately after
The way I gasped when the mirror bumped the light fixture lol.

I saw that you watched an Emily Fox video! I love watching both you and her a lot!
I'm really happy to see your Abercrombie journey!

A mirror facing the bed? 😳 Oh nooooo girl. I have enough demons, I’m not letting any more get me while I’m sleeping 😭

Hi Becca! I was wondering what you scifier code was again? I think you mentioned having one?
It’s in my description box 😊
Can you read the age of madness trilogy with reading the first trilogy?
Would recommend T. Kingfisher if you want to read some more horror.
Sleeping giants is so good on audio 👀

I hope that was helpful I didn't want to overshare about the first law trilogy because I think it's better just to go in blind.
@@zydecope9160 thanks for the help! I just didn’t want it to be to dark and disturbing for me but I don’t think it will.
I would add that there are plenty of sex scenes throughout the series but I wouldn’t call them spice because they’re very much not erotic 🤮
@@BeccaandTheBooks well would someone who doesn’t like reading s*x scenes be ok with it?
The algorithm is not vibing with this video it seems :( Did NOT expect the Things We Never Got Over criminal twist lol
