I don’t know why people mainly choose the pre made version, I would love to make a dreambox from scratch like this 😍
This isn't from scratch. Get the plywood from Lowe's and truly build it from scratch. Cost would be about $500 if you use 3/4" plywood and 3 inch caster wheels.

I'm putting mine together now. It's easy. I'm following the paper instructions along with these.

Building this now and this is a good supplement to the written instructions (which aren't bad). Also, love the way the hardware is packaged and labeled. All in all, not too hard to build, but you definitely need 2 people at certain steps.

I haven't ordered my DreamBox yet. I like putting things together, but was going to order the pre-built box. With this video I'll have fun putting it together. I'll have to buy dinner for the helping hands I'll need. Thanks Garth.

Okay. I've had this unassembled Create Room Dream Box since January in pieces in my house. (It arrived the day that my step-father died, which threw my family into such a crazy time.) I finally decided yesterday that I had time to put it together. I am a 5 foot, 67-year-old lady. My husband helped me with the cams that were pre-inserted in the side boxes. The rest, I did myself. I did need help with the heavy lifting, but I did it!!! A few things were confusing. First, the instructions did not show which sides the casters went on for the different bases for the sections. (That's what sent me to RUclips.) The second was that there were no pictures of where the angle brackets went, and I didn't see in the video that the were even used until the third box assembly. I have been hoping to buy one for several years, and now I have one that I can use.

Thank you Donna!!! I'm putting off getting my dreambox because of fear if being but it together. I am so inspired by your story. overall how long did it take to finish putting it together?
@@bernadetteguerriero2526 it took me a couple of days, but part of that was because I needed help moving the sections once I had them assembled. (They were very heavy!) I didn't rush it because I wanted to make sure that I did everything right. One note--after I had it all together it wouldn't close properly, and one of the table legs wouldn't lock in place. It fell and hit me in the chest pretty hard (2 times), so be careful not to stand in front of the table without holding the legs when you bring it down. It turned out that one of the braces on the right leg was bent preventing it from locking. My husband was able to bend it back for me once i realized what was wrong. I probably should have contacted Customer Support and asked for a new leg, but I wanted to finish putting it all together at that point. Out of an abundance of caution, I still hold the leg when I'm lowering the table section because it still doesn't hold quite as well as it should. Best wishes with your Dream Box!

Purchased the make it yourself version because pre made parts are so heavy and big to move already assembled. Directions in box different than online instructions which was a little confusing. Really well designed and manufactured cabinet.

Thank you for the video, it helped out most of way. I wish you showed us the crown installation as well. Some bits can not be seen well on the video and not on the printed instruction. Takes longer than expected, but almost there.

The hinges were off on the bottom of outside and middle shelves.?? How do I fix it?
