I must’ve been 11-12 years old when I last saw this movie. It used to air occasionally during the early days of HBO, and the stunt flying and aerial cinematography was just awesome! I also love the sounds of those Turbomeca engines on the Llama and Gazelle
I saw this movie as a little kid in Belgium in the mid 80s. Even the story is a bit lame, the flying is awesome. And nothing made on the computer, just real flying. Thanks for posting this remastered version.
My dad had this film on betamax back in the day, I remeber that there was a film he recorded after it (cant remember what it was) but i was always trying to fast forward to the end of this film to see the 2nd film and always remember there was a scene towards the end where there was a plane graveyard and a fight with another guy while hanging outside another helicopter and he fell out. Thats all i can remember of this film. Its strangely nostalgic to actually watch this film properly and it reminds me of dad when he was alive
What a pleasure to watch this wonderfully entertaining movie so nicely enhanced it really deserved it! THANKS!! I wonder if something similar could be done for another fun movie from 1966 by the name: 'A Man Could Get Killed' with James Garner as the principal but with quite a few others of renown from that time. It's sure to please an audience. Regards
Watched this film as a kid until the VHS tape just couldn't hack it anymore... Still holds up today. Some of the helicopter work in here is just phenomenal and wouldn't be allowed to be replicated today. Awesome movie. RIP Larry Hagman...
@@jimmihenry ....maybe you remember the chase in "Blue thunder". Under the bridges. They resemble a hangar. That chase scene was also awesome. They did some crazy stuff back then.
What the actual f. I waited years to get this on DVD and when I finally got my long, long awaited copy, the quality is less than half as good as this. 🤢
I found this when I googled the N4EE registration: "On 17 April 1982, N4EE was number two in a trail of three helicopters flying up the Colorado River at Marble Canyon to Page, AZ when it struck an aerial cableway stretching across the river, 22 ft above the water. Witnesses stated that after the collision the helicopter did a somersalt and fell into the water. Sadly, three of the four people on board were killed: one was the aircraft's owner, Glenn Miller (who appears in the film as the truck driver Pocatello Pete)." wings-on-film.fandom.com/wiki/N4EE
Let's not forget actor James Gammon R.I.P. who go on an star Nash bridges. AS much as I like Larry hangman R.I.P. This movie is very lame. Basically crap. I suppose Larry hangman wanted get away from playing J.R. Ewing in Dallas at the time. It didn't do much for his career. Larry hangman R.I.P. great actor and always be J.R. to me. Larry hangman will be missed.

This fiction smeling JET-A1 full nose. Quite at the same period was " BLUE THUNDER".
Villain Javaska has 3 choppers, but he has no machine gun's. He has used only rifles and revolvers in this encounter.
Does anyone know what the image is on the YGH logo? I can never tell
I wonder who made the music for this movie. Loved it then and now. :)
