VIVIZ are the trio from GFriend who went viral with Maniac. They started their sellout World Tour last weekend and all the members reunited on the opening night. VIVIZ on stage and the other 3 GFriend members dancing to Maniac together in the audience with the spotlight on them, being cheered on by VIVIZ. GFriend were famous for their dance skills amongst 3rd generation groups and they were the ones that forced everyone else to up their game, a process of continual improvement in the industry that has led to 5th generation groups like BadVillain having members who were professional dancers before they even started training for the group and who were even experienced choreographers in their own right featuring Emma from Street Woman Fighter for example. Dancing is now more important than singing live as lip syncing becomes the norm with extensive auto tune making anyone sound good and pitch perfect. GFriend belong to a different era where they were 6 vocalists instead with no rappers and all choreography had to be toned down to allow them to sing live whilst still dancing. That is very much a lost art now but VIVIZ sang live throughout their entire 2 hour concert last weekend unlike many more famous groups who have recently been slated for cheating on stage at concerts by extensively lip syncing.
I recommend you watch SinB dancing her solo performances on Studio Choom. Sweet but Psycho was her first appearance there and she blew everyone away with her charisma and the views it got were more than for any other idol in the channels history at the time. They were so impressed they decided to create a new feature on the channel called Artist of the Month and in recognition of her previous performance there, they invited her to be the first ever guest on the slot. The timing was bad as they were in the middle of preparing for their final ever comeback with Mago so she had to learn and film the entire routine in just 2 days whilst fitting in all the other scheduled work on the album the same day. She chose to perform hip hop because this is something she would never be allowed to show with GFriend and the female dancers are actually GFriend’s dance teachers in their final year. The song she chose was Tap In by Sweety.
