I would wonder why someone would choose the OnePlus 8 vs the OnePlus 7T. You save hundreds of dollars getting the 7T and there doesn't seem to be much difference between the two.

It also loses to the 8 in all aspects except the camera despite being much more expensive. We aren’t even talking about the mi 10 Pro yet. It’ll barely beat the 8 Pro in some things and will get its ass kicked in other things while still being much more expensive than the 8 Pro.
Why do people keep saying s20 ultra n not s20 plus seeing that is more like for like comparison. Much rather reserve the ultra comparison for p40 pro plus n oneplus 8 pro McLaren edition if there is one.

I literally JUST sold my OnePlus 7 Pro on Ebay so I could buy the OnePlus 8 Pro. My favorite thing about the 7 Pro was the display. 90hz and no distractions was PERFECT. I do feel like they're taking a step back this year with the hole-punch. I've got my SIM card in the OnePlus Two, LOL, for a few weeks until I get the 8 Pro.
The OnePlus 8 series of devices looked gorgeous especially in Glacial Green. The display is really something that impressed me but it would have been better if that punch hole weren't there. If OnePlus was to give me an option, I would have gone for the pop up camera over the IP rating.
Oneplus 8 Pro charges at 5 watts wirelessly with all other wireless chargers. It's only the 70$ charger that Oneplus will sell supports 30 watts however the phone gets really hot.
Im pretty confused actually with both devices. I guess for me one plus 8 seems perfect as i dont mind not having wireless charging and the smaller display fits perfectly on hands.
I feel the one plus it is perfect to hold it's very comfortable in the hand. It's lighter than the oneplus 8 Pro. This would definitely make it easier to hold while watching movies and hence it would really deliver a comfortable viewing experience. While watching the videos online I was confused as to whether I should buy the oneplus 8 for the 8 Pro but when I bought the oneplus 8 because of unavailability of the 8 Pro models, I guess I loved the same as it feels big enough and although it is smaller than the one plus 8 pro, it definitely is a big phone but yet a sleek one. I think the major difference is in in the display quality between the two phones and the memc chip in the 8 pro. So if you don't care about wireless charging can I feel the oneplus 8 is a better deal than the one plus 8 Pro because I personally don't care about wireless charging and ip68 rating or even Pro level cameras for that matter. The oneplus 8 cameras look pretty good, especially its selfie camera and the main camera as well.
@@johnsedarous just use the phone as normal, I have an otterbox case which have started deteriorating now. I don't have a protective glass though. The only draw back is the constant lack of phone storage 32Gb and the battery which makes me charge the phone up to 5 times a day. I am the truck driver, so I use the phone a lot for a navigation.
IP68 is awesome. About time. I love IP68 on my LG V30 so much. Taking photos in rain, going in rivers , lakes, underwater footage.. 2.5 years and everything works great!

Instead of making smart compromises, OnePlus just went ahead and made an overpriced phone with unnecessary features. I am all about that full screen display with that pop-up camera.
You don't need the plus model. the regular OnePlus 8 model has an 1.5 hours extra battery life and it's easier to hold in the hands. I got the regular OnePlus 8 model and it's freaking superb. Not a single complaint

up to 2 hours ago I was determined to go out and get myself an S20U but after watching some comparisons I'm going with OP8P. I had cold feet bc 865 version isn't available here now I know what I want.
Instead of making smart compromises, OnePlus just went ahead and made an overpriced phone with unnecessary features. I am all about that full screen display with that pop-up camera.
Ikr if the oneplus8 still had the pop up camera i would instantly buy it but now i may be reconsidering my options
You don't need the plus model. the regular OnePlus 8 model has an 1.5 hours extra battery life and it's easier to hold in the hands. I got the regular OnePlus 8 model and it's freaking superb. Not a single complaint
