I really love the power at 2:55. I wish you had kept with it for the full prechorus because it's my favorite part of the cover. Still, excellent job.

This is actually a lyrically powerful song for someone such as myself who has had to overcome , alcohol and drugs issues , nearly 18 years sober and the words " I'm am just a worthless liar , I am just am imbecile " still brings back memories of that suffering way of life , so accurate , so true

I've been a tool fan since I first heard this song in the early 90's and then went out and bought undertow. You guys have done a badass cover and made it your own. My question is , can i buy this somewhere besides iTunes ? I refuse to buy anything from the iCult.

Wow. Best Tool cover I've seen. Typically tool covers tend to lack in the vocal department because Maynard has such a unique voice that it's near impossible to get right but you nailed it man, kept it your own and nailed it. Good job guys!

Hey AJ, thank you for watching our video. And thank you for the critique's. On the topic of the "pedals", there were only 8 taps total. The first tap was to finish the cycle of the loop. The second tap was to switch to the next channel on my gt-10. That channel also has a second control pedal that turns on the delay. Which would be the third tap. So thats a total of three so far. The 4th tap was another option on that channel to engage the pitch shift effect I use.

I don't why, but I hear many different things with this version of Sober. I hear Tool of course. I also hear Chris Daughtry. And last but not least, I hear Evanescence' s Bring Me To Life. Maybe I am crazy, but the creativity just blew me away. Nice Job! I hope millions are made as a result :-).
Awesome job guys! I do not see one issue with the performance. Just for a reference, you can try and use your voice at 2:55, but again, I respect your interpretation of the song and it sounds amazing just the way it is in this video!

I have said it before, I will say it again, awesome! I am an ORIGINAL TOOL diehard and this is a fresh, modern version of a classic. I am not a cover person AT ALL, but I really enjoy this version of Sober. I am a diehard TOOL fan, and always will be, but I still love this version. Great job Jon and company!

I am a huge TOOL and Maynard fan. Normally I dont like any TOOL covers at all... This was great! I love it when an artist makes it their own. Just like Johnny Cash doing Hurt... GOOD WORK!

I have loved Tool and have listened to them since the mid 90's and when someone does a cover and puts there own originality on it... in my opinion it has a different quality of sound which this one does. When someone does a cover and tries to replicate Maynard, in my opinion sucks because his voice will never be replicated or reproduced. Keep doing what your doing because this version is great.

Hi Jon, I noticed this was published in 2012. I hope you're still jammin' and giggin'. I'm 62 years old. I've been playing rock acoustic guitar all my life. Many, many live shows behind me. I've been a live sound man and a studio engineer. I'm a songwriter as well. My point is,.... I ain't never seen no shit like this!!! I've watched several of your videos and I'm impressed with all of them. All of you guys, your drummer and percussionist are awesome. Rockin' the acoustic shows what I've been doing forever and I wish more people did it. It's not just for folk anymore, lol. I hope you will continue what you're doing and make some more videos for us.
