After Last Night
I remember this from Video Concert Hall too. These guys were one of the top power-pop bands ever, although their success didn't follow it. The sentiment is more important now than it ever was - if you don't do it, Who's Going to Save The World? If only 'they' had listened 25 years ago...
Awesome. One of the best bands out of Philly.
James Kalb can you tell me the name of one of the guys who's mothers maden name was Potts he is a cousin
he's a cousin and since my parents are no longer with me I can't remember his name
I know it was around Frankford area thanks alot for your help
Love that classic tone of the Rickenbacker bass-sounds great here!
omg i remember them in philly. i'm so ole! wow they were good and cute! nothing like philly harmonies...
Philly east coast angst... we never feel the sun enough!
The Peace Creeps are currently playing in the Philadelphia area and the A's just did a reunion show with the Hooters over Thanksgiving this year...
Cool to see - glory days kinda stuff. I found this record at Just A Song Records in Albany Ny in 1979 and played it over and over. Still have it, Very Cool.
WHOOOOOOOOO!!! the drummer is our 4th grade teacher :)
I have a memory of this band opening for judas priest in 1979...
Awesome!!! Now I feel 15 again THANKS!!!
Again, My thanks out to you for posting this extremely rare stuff. I didn't think any video existed of The A's from their debut album.
Whoah what a trip... An A's record I found a few days ago and checked it out on youtube and what gas.... I used to skate and surf in the Heights in NJ in the 60's & mid 70's. But I never would have heard the album, don't have a vinyl driver hooked up and haven't for years....I was born it PA, it is cool hearing the band rip from so long ago.... I'll post the red vinyl on ebay cheap for a REAL fan... Who's Gonna Save the World - WE ARE.. yaterbob
I really wish I could watch this entire show. In my top five power pop groups of all time.
Richard Bush is still going strong in philly with his band The Peace Creeps but The A’s was a great band from my neighborhood Frankford in philly
Richard from Tyler!

VIDEO CONCERT HALL ruled before MTV came along! And don't forget NIGHT FLIGHT!

Dave - you gotta really cool substitute teacher who is agreat drummer - the A's were great...should have went a lot futher IMHO.
I think they were in a 3 set following the Dickies on VCH.
Eddington Pa's own Richie Bush.
did they ever support Blackmores rainbow in New York? An american friend of mine is shure they did.....seems a strange support given the style of music !
Yep, and it did not go well. Richard Bush talks about that at the 21:00 mark of this podcast. wildfireradio.com/in-the-pocket-episode-04/
LOL! Were they thinking of Obama's 2013 when they wrote the lyrics?
