    sorry it took so long to see this video. What a cool idea. You even get a hardened surface after burnishing. I need to make one of these.

    Hey Jim , with burnishing how much would that change your diameter? Which maybe not as critical on taper.thanks joe

      Joe - The diameter you are burnishing is like a thread. How deep is that thread ? .001" deep would look like a mile. My guess is .0001" - .0002" is exaggerating. If you allowed .001" on diameter you would be very safe. - Jim

    This process is used on hydraulic cylinders to make them really smooth.

    Does this affect the OD of the part?

      Robert - the difference is about a fart skin. Can you measure a fart skin ? I left my fart skin micrometers in the toilet. - Jim
