This is a piece of art! So very beautiful! Love the fireplace and love the oblong windows in what looks to be an office/living area. And the the outdoors look to be an extension of the living area. Also love the exterior of the home. A dream home to say the least. Please show some of your favorite homes you have designed.
Mr. Barslund: you are a genious in architecture. The way you brought natural light and nature into this home is simply amazing. I love your work and would hire you without a doubt when building a new home or remodeling an existing one. I am looking forward seeing other projects, either remodeling or homes built from the ground up. Much success for years to come.
Thanks William. You comment means a lot! Not only does it take quite a lot of work to create the built project, but the video you just saw, also pulls out teeth. I joined a pro photo shoot of the farm just last week. So I’m eagerly waiting for the edited pictures to arrive. I must admit an experienced photographer does a much better job, and sometimes sees the spaces better than I do. I’ll post them here and on Instagram:-)
Anders Barslund I like how you explain your design philosophy. It’s articulate, inspiring and informative. I’m new to your channel, and look forward to your next and future shares. Thank you.
Well, I loved everything about this project. I recently became interested in potentially living in Denmark and always look for a house that oozes coziness (oven/chimney/wood/textures/mood/light), is bright, invites light to flow through (atrium/conservator/skylight/huge windows), so your design ticks many many boxes. Well done! Hope you continue to upload more videos, I noticed you stopped a while back.
Hi Nat. Thank you so much for you wonderful comment. The videos I made happened to land me 4 times as many projects, as I’ve had in the prior years. I’ve been struggling to find the right balance. I loved making the the videos, and will indeed spend more time on new ones the fall. Your comment means a lot :-) thank you 🙏
You know - space around chimney on first place, but main accord for now - upper floor office area with six large roof windows. So now owner have two different perspective views from inside a house. Near view from chimney area and far view from upper etage. So you have a choice now. Think its a main wonderfull thing fo this house. Really good work!!!
I like how you were inspired by the sun, and allow that to move the person from room to room. It's also important to think of private vs. public which was something I didn't consider before. I've seen those metal plates on bird watching towers so it was interesting also to understand how much they can withstand. The house is too modern for my taste but you've still brought the warmth of the outdoors in, at least during the summer months. Thank you for sharing your process.
I don’t think I would have used the void with the beams. Lots of wasted space at level one. The exposed beams don’t look great, guess they were retained because it’s a existing house
GREAT ! I'd say, the Netherlands is the ONLY country to compete with the Danes in modern architecture! ) P.S. Comments? Well... I miss Henningsen lights!
I am a dutchman considering to move to denmark to live there with my girlfriend (dane) and we want to buy a farm around the area of Herning a/o in the west/northwest. Doe you or you firm operate there? Great video and work sir. Subscribing ;-)
Brilliant! Absolutely love how each decision has been made around light, views, form and circulation flow.

I love this. I wish we had more videos like these on RUclips. Great job.
Love it! And the concept is exciting!
Your design makes a huge impression. The use of natural light is so integral to the overall impression and effect.
