Rumor as a kid was Dolores park was built on an Indian cemetery part of mission Dolores¿
Dayum
All the callous death and racist dismissal
Dolores Park was once the site of two Jewish cemeteries, but those burials were allegedly moved to Colma in the early 1900s. However, there is supposedly a mass grave of some 5,000 American Indians on the property behind Mission Dolores, under the playground of the Catholic school there.
@@beth_winegarner I've heard the same about the graves moving to colma
We need to keep intact, as much history of San Francisco as we can. The past history is what endures the charm of San Francisco to the generations of San Franciscans who were born here or came here during the early days of this city..
I played golf there, good to know people rest there to pay respect.

Those preppy pucks need history in their lives. We need history more than we need golf.
Whats the point of all this? Convert it to cemetery again after 120 years? 🤔
