Yay my first ever speed / yolo db10 team! Right now the run times are around 1:20, with a ~97% success rate (307 successful runs, 9 failed runs). In this video I'm gonna show a few runs, talk about why my team works so well (the list is typed out above in the link), show my runes, skill ups, and glory shop buildings!
I did a lot of testing on free rune removal with different teams, and a lot of them failed. I learned a lot from the fails so I hope to help you guys out with that insight. From what I've seen, Verde/Galleon/Tarq is the core team most people run for their first yolo db10 team if they have those monsters (then later on they move onto double tarq, or even triple tarq). I've seen people use a ton of different things for the last two slots, but Megan and Theo worked out the best for me. I did try out chilling and hwa, but they didn't work out too well. For a first time DB10 team, I'd recomend a more standard build. Don't use galleon or tarq. A common starting team is Verde Vero Bella Megan +1. I preferred Sig as my +1 due to his aoe damage, freeze, stuns, and attack break all being more useful than Theo's single target damage. Theo works better on faster teams due to having defense break built in. I would not just jump into a team like this too. The key to success in DB10 is a way to remove immunity, and a way to remove debuffs. You'll want a veromos with around 200 speed!
Ah very informative, thank you! :) My Vero is close to 200, I think around 180/190. The recent monster I've been building for DB10 is chilling, at the moment he's only max 5* on hp/hp/acc with speed subs +50 spd. I have the others you mentioned as well at 6*, would you say Verde is better on swift or vio for db10? I've recently gone from a slight fast vio build on verde to a fast swift build (Can't remember the speeds off the top of my head) and I'm wanting to switch back to Vio.
Ideally you'll want verde to go last.If you'll build the Verde Vero Megan Bella Sig Team,the turn order i find most beneficial is Megan>Bella>Vero>Sig>Verde.You'll want the imunity to be removed by megan,that's why she goes before Bella.This way you reduce the time a bit.Aim for 55% ACC minimun,and you should aply debuffs at a reliable rate.Good luck with your farming.
GL with your team, zombie! Kraedi and Paquito gave you good advice. I started out with a rezzer L>R>D team before I moved onto my verde face team. I'm not sure what people are suggesting these days, especially if you already have verde, whether you should go straight dragon as your first team, or L>R>D with a rezzer.

Thanks for the team! This has helped me to making a db10 speed team as well. Running between 1:10 and 1:30. The rune quality is quite steep for those who want to try it, and towers really, really, help

Hey Orange, I just wana say good job on your channel! I frequently view your videos for TOA and dungeon related content. I was running Verd, Theo, Tarc, Galleon and Kahli in the past. I got a 59 second record because of that line up but with megan instead of kahli it is more sustainable and fast at the same time.

This actually has worked for me about 5 runs in a row at 1:35-1:45, better than my usual 1:50-2:30! I was dying for a sub-2 build that worked and I think I have one now...thanks for the idea! This'll work till the runes are good enough for a 2-Tarq run. I really don't have anything good on my Megan as I just rune her for enough speed to buff Lushens.

I've never thought using megan with galleon, but it's actually really smart, and the def buff add some more safety, i'll try this team next FRR cuz my tarq has random runes for WB atm^^

Chilling benefits tarq with the speed buff too, plus lower rune requirements because of crit buff. Would also benefit Theo.

You inspired me to retry a speed team to replace my standard verde sig megan bella vero team that averages 2:10... Verde sig megan tarq bella so far has averaged 97seconds and win rate of 11/11 so far :D

Proper badly needed this video as well and it probably couldn't have been done any better. one question I have is do u think spd totem needs to be maxed in order for a high success speed db10 like yours? Because my rune quality is high but speed totem is only at lvl 6 and I can't get a good success rate. Again very nice vid :)
I would no, depending on your runes. It does help though! My buildings are almost maxed: DEF (10), Water (6), Fire (6), ATK (10), HP (10), SPD (10), CD (10)

The jump from 1 tarq to 2 is pretty big. It might take you a long time to optimize your team to make it a successful team. Gl anyway!
Still trying to make a speed team....the only issue is my arena towers aren't very skilled up....my runes are good i'd say, with verd galleon x2 tarq taor hwa julie....still can't get a successful speed team going

Ah, just because of rune issues and my Sig doesn't have skill ups. On FRR I runed up my monsters in order of importance, and Sig kinda got pushed to the back of the line for runes. For DB10 you need things to be fast right, to do a lot of damage quickly to the boss, so I had to rune up both Lushens > Theo > Lag > Julie > then my slower monsters, Xiao Lin, Hwa, Tarq, and Sig was lumped with those monsters at the end. At that point Sig was looking kinda bad, so thankfully Theo worked with this team. It's also good that way because I get more bang for my buck. I already runed Theo for other reasons, and oh wow he works for db10, cool!
I'm sure Sig might be able to work a bit slower, but even then I don't know if mine would do enough damage, because again he's at the end of the list of importance for me. I do have skill ups I can give to him. I'm not against using Sig, but I just couldn't find a way to make it work nicely this month :(. I'd be down to try him out if I was convinced he's a beast in db10!

Sig is stupid fucking hot in DB10 though, or well lets be honest he's stupid fucking hot everywhere pve wise!

My db10 very mediocre too, I'm running with verde, bella, vero, taor, galleon, but my success rate is 95% and 1:30 avg run time. My runes is not that good too.

You can try it, but I think megan does save some runs by removing the boss' buff and my team follows up with defense breaks. I think she will work, but it'll require better runes. From what I've seen, players who are more advanced than me use verde/galleon/tarq/tarq/stella, or triple tarq, so they are getting by with even less (not even 2 monsters with an attack buff), so that makes me think bastet will work, but she's just a little bit more unsafe than megan.
Could I use Loren over galleon for attack bar reduce and use taor instead of theomars he is max skilled

I think it is - I kind of did a bit of math to put it into perspective. Every day let's say you're awake for 15 hours, sleeping for 9, and you can clear your wings when you wake up. When you wake up you clear 10 wings, and get 50 glory points if you're in conqueror. You might be able to clear a list and get 2 more wings, which is 10 more glory. Before you go to bed your wings will have refilled 3x, and you will have used *40 wings in one day* (we have to add the 10 in that you used when you woke up, you might have a bit more if you can clear lists, I don't really bother with that... but thinking about it now it might be worth it). Now, for 30 crystals you can buy 10 wings. I think it's worth it to do that because you're only getting 40 wings in a day anyways, 40 wings is not that many. If you were getting like 300 wings per day, and 30 crystals buys you 10 wings, I'd say that's probably not worth it, but since you get so few wings anyways, I think crystal refills are worth.

Do you do account reviews? I've been trying to speed up my gb10 and db10 runs but can't seem to figure it out. I'm also trying to move from r4 to r5.

Rune quality is going to be really important for all 3 areas, that's kind of a general theme, as your runes get better, your times get faster. Teams do matter quite a bit as well.
GB10 generally gets faster when you have enough damage to clear it quickly. Galleon is the godfather of fast runs for giants and dragons because of his AOE defense break. If you don't have galleon, I think you're going to at least have to run a defense breaker to make things fast. I'm not well versed in knowing how to get super fast times if you don't have Galleon because I don't think I've seen anyone with fast times who doesn't use him. Generally people use wind/water damage dealers - lagmaron, taor, lushens, tarq, www.reddit.com/r/summonerswar/comments/4nci4b/post_your_gb10_speed_teams/
Since you can do R4, I'm guessing you have a few damage dealers, I would do something like bernard/theo/bella/+2 (sig, damage dealers, maybe megan), I would mess around with teams w/ your monsters and see what ends up being fast. Most people just kind of end up with fast gb10 teams because they're building Lushens for AO, and lushens work really well in gb10
DB10 - If you don't have verde or galleon, there are a lot of "speed db10" threads on www.reddit.com/r/summonerswar/ that mention teams without them. A solid verdeless and galleonless team that I ran for a little while was sig/theo/vero/bella/megan, I think the times were ~2:15-30 if I'm recalling correctly. That team will get faster as your Theo/Sig get better runes. I ran verde/vero/bella/sig/theo for a while getting ~2:30 minute times. When you're confident your rune quality is good enough to move onto more 'yolo' db10 teams, generally I see people running galleon/double tarq/+3 (verde/galleon/tarq/tarq/x being one of the most popular ones, if you look on the top arena rankings, most players have 2 tarqs built).... verde/galleon/tarq/tarq/nuker(hwa, taor, etc. there's tons, khali too). There are some verdeless/galleonless teams on Reddit www.reddit.com/r/summonerswar/comments/5arqw9/verdeless_db10_face_team_guide/ I swore I saw a no verde / no galleon post but I can't find it right now.
R4 to R5 - I think this is mostly rune quality. I was able to run farmable teams with very few grindstones and gems that can do R5. I hope you have some good R5 options for damage dealers, I feel like that's most important (hwa or xiao lin). Front line: darion, fire panda - Back line: kona (or other cleanser), colleen, bella(or other healer), damage dealer(theo, tesarion, copper). Darion can be replaced w/ Diaz. You don't need fire panda really, but having a def lead helps.
R5 format: darion/diaz + colleen + healer(bella,chasun,mihyang,etc.) + cleanser (lisa, kona, etc.) + damage dealer + 1 extra damage dealer or support type monster

a few other things - for r5 I would suggest looking up the stat benchmarks, look up "r5 frontline" and "r5 backline" on reddit, and there's a lot of people out there suggesting how much HP/def your monsters should have. Try to also raid w/ reliable people, raiding in public can be sketchy and if your runs fail it might not be your fault, and it's hard to tell if it was your fault or not

R5: I would follow the guide (www.reddit.com/r/summonerswar/comments/5rhgbs/guide_stepbystep_guide_to_choosing_monsters_for/) and use Dias/Colleen/Mihyang/Lisa/+2 because those monsters are S tier for their respective roles. Xiong Fei is a good monster to have runed in case you need the def lead, and he's very very safe for a beginner team. For the last 2 I would run Xiong Fei + damage dealer (ardella, seara, tesa are the main ones that I've seen people use in R5), or run 2 damage dealers. You can use Bella instead of Mihyang if your bella has good runes and you don't want to rune up another monster. Mihyang should take runes that nothing else really wants, so she shouldn't be too difficult to rune and she shouldn't steal things from other monsters.
GB10: galleon/bernard + nukers. preferable lushen/teshar because they have AOE, which will help on the first few waves, for the last monster I'd run a violent monster, because violent monsters sort of act as AOE monsters because they can proc and kill multiple things. You can also try out megan for safety and run 2 damage dealers. You can try seara too, I'd just stick with galleon/bernard+3. Bernard helps a lot to create turns, but you don't have to run him and you can do galleon + 4 damage dealers.
DB10: Test out teams to see what your runes allow right now, I'd start with safe and move to more dangerous teams. Verde/vero/bella/water damage dealer/+1. You might be able to use 2 water damage dealers, like chow and camilla, or just use 1 and another support monster, like megan or kona or something like that. Sig/multiple tarqs/water imp champs/fire high ele are mons I've seen people use for fast db10 teams too.
I'm having the issue now where I can't rune everything I have, so I think you'll have to practice the art of efficiency, and try to make monsters work in multiple areas of the game. For Gb10, I would just use whatever you have. If your teshar and lushen aren't runed, then try out what is runed, like your chow or camilla. You might have to run Vero for Gb10: galleon/bernard/vero/+2 damage dealers just to be a bit safer, which is totally fine, just find the right balance of safety and yoloness. I always like to have sucessful teams. I try to shoot for 100% success but that is hard sometimes. I think my gb10 team is ~99% successful, and my db10 team is like 96% successful when I tally it.
For db10 I was lucky enough to be able to use 3 of my monsters who had very good runes on (galleon/megan/theo) well galleon's runes kinda sucked, but it helped. Right now I don't even have a necro team because I don't have enough runes for it. I'm gonna chill out, lay low, and wait for a clear decision to present itself for me and necro. I just fixed my r5 team and I think it's good, but for necro I'm gonna have to macgyver some shit up. I know colleen can be used for nb10, and mine is already built for r5. After that I've seen people use liches and stuff.. I dunno I'll have to do more thinking.
WAIT... Glory buildings work outside of the arena? HOW HAVE I NOT KNOWN THIS?? I have zero buildings because I thought they were only for pvp....

i managed to pass it now with vero(L) baretta aria mav and bella. stuck on 87 now its zarios double akroma-.- why is this toah rotation so much of a pain
I used the same team for 80, uhhh ohhh 87.. I use vero(hp/def/hp or a variant of that)/chasun/mav/baretta/shannon

I'm a fan of Sig. His 3rd skill has great boss damage potential, and leading up to the boss an AoE is more useful, alongside his ability to freeze, stun, and attack break making for a safer run.

GZ! I would say start out with tanky verde, it's safer. Vio/revenge, and I like it when he moves last.

I would also recommend trying verde/vero/bella/theo/sig. Someone told me that verde giving your team more turns kind of makes your team proc off your immunity buff. A while ago YDCB runed raoq w/ triple revenge so he doesn't violent proc off immunity, kind of in the same way verde grants turns. Vero also stomps on things and CCs them which can help. I would always test it though, because sometimes things on paper that should work better don't. That was the team I used before my current one! (verde/vero/bella/theo/sig). I think sig/vero/bella/theo/megan also has similar times to that team. If on FRR your runes end up on certain monsters, that 2nd team is always an option to test if it's easier for you to rune. Sometimes I have priorities in the game, and some monsters end up with better runes (my verde has always been on kinda shitty runes), so it's just another option!
Im playing it right now, I really need upgrade my Sigmarus runes. He move at 140, my verde 169, I can do it, but I never had an issue like that, I run ut of immunity but Bella have too many turns even without violent and heal everybody, put atb up, velajuel buff again, and everything is fine. Like I said im going to rerune my Sigma, last question (I think), some day will you do like an account reviews videos?
not sure, maybe one day but I'm not an expert on every single monster in the game and I don't like giving people incomplete advice, so I might not be the best person to do reviews just based on my knowledge

I think Sig, as long as you give him insane runes. Violent, and fast, and have Sig fully skilled. Sig's AOE will speed up the first few waves, he brings a freeze as well, and he'll do a ton of damage to the dragon boss with his 3rd skill because it scales with enemy's HP.

I'm not really sure, the only non verde speedy team that I've ran is sig/vero/bella/megan/theo, so I can confirm that team works but I'm not sure about yours. I'm not the person to ask I don't know that much about speed teams :(
